Re: Electric or Gas???
I have used both, and I DETEST Electric stoves. I always burn things when I cook on them. I would much rather have a gas stove. the stove we have now is gas. I like the cool to the touch oven door. I dont have to worry about Chloe burning herself. I dont know how many times when I was younger I would burn myself on the oven door while I was cooking on top of the stove and had the oven going too.

I love it! Easy to clean.
Angie,
What are you doing that I am not? Mine is horrible to clean after like say, something boils over. I use the "special" cleaning stuff and its still horrible to clean. Makes me want to use a brillo pad.

Re: Electric or Gas???
YankeeMary, I have a glass top and mine isn't so bad to clean. I use the Cerama Bryte to clean it with and the book that came with mine said to use the Scotch Brite Multi purpose no scratch scrub sponges on it to clean it with. The are a blue sponge on one side and a blue scruber on the other side. You can find them with other dish cleaning sponge type things. My book also said for things that are really hard to get off to take a Utility Scraper to scrape the stuff off. That is a razor in a handle thing to scrap with. If it is bad I will use that just be careful you don't scratch the top doing it. Then I use the cleaner and the Scotch Brite on it the scrubbie side.

Thank you so much I will try both things. I didn't get a book on mine...boo hoo, it was in the house when we bought it. I would never chose a stove like this, but I must say, it looks GREAT in a kitchen.

Re: Electric or Gas???
Cerama Bryte also makes a ceramic cooktop scraper and the make cleaning pad for the cooktops as well. I couldn't find them so that is why I use the other pads but my book does say you can use the scrubbers that I use and the blade I use is almost like the one that Cerama Bryte makes but I couldn't find one of them either. I did find the the Cerama Bryte in Lowes.
Make sure the stove top is cool to clean it though.
Maybe you could get in touch with the manufactor and see if you could get a manual from them or look on ebay sometimes you find manuals on there.
Hope this helps you out.
Your welcome.
