Re: Breast Reduction Surgery
The total cost was close to $5000. Money had to be paid before surgery. A contract had to be signed. Also pre-op lab work and EKG need to be done.

Re: Breast Reduction Surgery
Thanks for all of your quick replies. I am trying to see if insurance will cover it, or at least most of it, because it does give me back problems.

Re: Breast Reduction Surgery
We went along with the suggested criteria to have insurance company cover the surgery (saw orthopedic MD to determine souce of back pain which was the large breasts, duh!), etc. We followed what we were told by insurance company for coverage and were still denied. Amount of breast tissue removed was not enough according to insurance company. We paid out of pocket first and were not reimbursed. This was a needed procedure, my DD's breasts were in need of reduction! NO regrets on our part for paying for this.

Re: Breast Reduction Surgery
My neice-in-law had this done a few years ago. Her insurance paid for most of it since she was getting severe back pain from her "girls". I believe she took 3 weeks off of work & then no heavy lifting for 6 weeks. She was glad she got it done.
I swear any procedure done through the belly button is more painful. I had 4 surgeries done through my navel & ech one was more painful than the last.
Hopefully she will do just fine.
