Thread: I'm not venting or whining...NOW I'm B****ing

I am so glad that school is out in less than a week.....I drive a schol bus, which I do love doing.....but today....I really would have loved to choke the crap out of a few kids.

They all act like they escaped from the zoo....I know that these kids have manners, and know right from wrong...they are in middle school, which IMO, they are BRATS....and that is being nice...LOL, it's like there is a full moon....they refuse to follow directions, when you ask them to do something, they laugh at you....

Finally this morning I had enough...I pulled the bus over, and SCREAMED at the top of my lungs...that got their attention for 1 big second, then they continuted to behave like animals....standing up, jumping over seats, screaming a very HIGH pitched scream, which scares me, makes me think that something is wrong. when I FINALLY got to the school, the principal hears me SCREAMNG at them , and he fianlly gets on the bus and takes over....he tells me to write the kids up.....I'm thinking to myself, that it's not going to do any good...we only have 7 days of school left...these kids are going to laugh at me and you....Finally I opened my mouth and told him, to hell with writing them up, get me a police officer to the bus...I'm pretty sure that these kids parents are going to love it when they find out that their child got a $500.00 ticket for disruption of transportation....

I don't understand why children think that they can behave like that on a bus...Some parents get mad if you write their child up, or if you get on to their child...all i know is that if the child gets hurt on the bus, the FRIST person the parents are going to balame is the DRIVER....and I think that is crap. The parents think that it's cute and funny...and they tell the children that they don't have to listen to the driver. MAKES ME SO MAD.....

I am sorry that you have to deal with that. My children know better then to let me get a "bad" report from their driver. They will be dealt with - part of their punishment is to write a note of apoligy to her. ((HUGS)) I can't believe that the parents tell them they don't have to listen to you. Are you allowed to put them off - a few days of the parents having to miss work/alter their schedules should adjust their attitudes as well.

I have a lot of patience but there is no way I could ever drive a school bus. I see it all the time --kids jumping around like they are hooligans.

Do you have a bus assistant? I think every bus should have one to deal with all the goings on so the driver can concentrate. If there are any special needs children I think they have to provide you one.

Normally most districts that have special needs kids have special transportation and bus aides are mandatory. My youngest son is transported by special trans because of his seizure disorder but there are a few on there with behavior issues and i have have never heard of any problems on the special trans buses. Last day of school here is the 26th of this month.

Uncalled for.....seriously. This is the place to vent which she is doing. I guarantee you've complained about your job on more than one occasion....we all have, even if we adore what we do. Let's be nice and supportive shall we?

Bus driver here also!! And the kids on my bus have been crazy all week!!
I have K-6 and High Schooll. They are all ready for a break!! And I'm bout ready for a breakdown!!LOL We have 9 days left and I hope we all make it in one piece!!
Love my kids but LORDY they are eady for summer!!!
