Just Need to Vent
I am so aggrevated. We just moved into this house 3 months ago and have been nothing but good renters, now my landlord informs us that they've decided to move back into their home and we have to be out in 4 weeks. There is no where to move here with enough rooms for what we are needing. I can't believe it! I have moving! I just hate it!!
Ok, thanks for letting me vent! I hope our new landlord doesn't do this to me!!

Re: Just Need to Vent About LandLord
Did you happen to sign a lease? If so, was it for 6 months or a year? If you did, you may not have to move out so quickly. I think there was a website posted on here not too long ago about renters rights. I would think there would be something protecting you from having to move out so quickly. I would check into the laws and guidelines of your state. Good luck! I wish you the best!

Maybe that's why they want the house back. It's spotless now!
All joking aside, sorry to hear about your troubles. Better luck next move!

Additional Tenant's Rights Information
It is not possible to fully describe the rights of tenants under Texas law, or the steps needed to exercise those rights, in a brochure or this length. If you would like to learn more about tenant's rights, the Public Information Department at the State Bar of Texas publishes a pamphlet containing a more detailed description Texas law and tenant's rights. You can contact the State Bar of Texas at 1-800-204-2222, ext. 2610 (in Austin, call 463-1463, ext. 2610). In addition, some of the larger cities in Texas have tenant's councils which can answer questions and help resolve disputes.

Re: Just Need to Vent
Unfortunately I don't have a copy of our rental agreement. I think it was month to month thats why they are able to do this to us. I need to get a copy of it though. They said they would bring me one but never did.

Man that sucks. I would contact your Renters Right commision or something to see what your rights are. Seems like they should give you a bit more notice. I would be so ticked because I hate moving
