I found out that there is a really, really good flexible full time day care/pre-school up the road from me that can watch dd if I go back to work soon. I say if because 1) I have to get a medical OK from a doctor first (long story, and subject of other vent/whines), but should have one soon. Found good medicines that actually work. Got into trouble with arthritis in the first place because they kept recalling half my medicines, which kept getting more expensive, and I stopped being able to afford them. Got on Medicaid, now fine. Still have arthritis, but in a lot less pain. Ditto with asthma. 2) Have to actually interview, get job, etc. Working on that now. Anyways, welfare will pay for it. Thank you for the tips. It helped a lot. If ex continually refuses to pay support, then they can garnish his wages. If he quits work like he threatened to, he can be ordered by a court to go back to pay support. If he still refuses to obey orders, he might be subject to other penalties. (fines, possible jail, etc.) Thank you. -Joy

Thank you! A BBSer here even pmed me here, and is willing to help me write a resume. She has been generous, polite, and asked for little in return. (Heartfelt thanks, if you are reading this!)

So glad you are on the road to getting answers. I am sure they will help with daycare and other thing too if you wanted to continue your education. There are so many programs out there for people if they just have the right directions to get there. Please keep us updated!! I would like to know what is going on.

By the way, he can not only go to jail, but he can lose any type be it drivers or hunting or fishing license too. I believe there is a law now in PA that if a person man or woman does not pay child support and it is in the courts, that they can be denied any licensing through thte state. Now I am not positive and would have to look into it more, but I do remember hearing about it from my hubby, because one of his trucking buddies was facing this problem he needed to renew his license for job but state said he hadn't paid support in so long so until it was paid not license. I'll see what I can find out.
