    Unhappy My turn to whine....

all this wet cold weather is KILLING my knee. I had TKR a year ago and its still messed up, and has stage 4 arthritis in it. I went to the Doc today and have small little knots in it, which he says are bursitis, which may require ANOTHER (had 5 already) surgery to get rid of them. I have Vicoden and muscle relaxers but they knock me out so therefore I dont take them but at night.

Surely there are some old wifes tales, remedies something!!!!!!!!!!

My dad is having Synvisc injected into his knee that doesn't have any cartiledge left. It has helped him tremendously. Ask your doctor about it. It is used to treat arthirtis as well.

I dont have ANY real knee left, its all plastic and metal. I had total knee replacement, then they went in and put an artificial knee cap in. Doc said there is alot of different meds that could be used on a REAL knee but not "fake" ones.

    Try ice or heat?

How about massaging warm oil or
    Bengay onto your knee?

I had an elderly uncle swear by massaging
    WD40 onto his bad knee.
    Not that I'm recommending it,
but the Doc said it wouldn't hurt him.

    Sending warm hugs your way!
