    walmart's oil change center.grrr

I know this is a petty whine but, I just need to vent a little. Ok first we just got a super walmart here in milledgville,ga. Well I thought that since I was going to get groceries and some other little items from there that I would just go ahead and let them change my oil (it was suppose to be 10 dollars cheapier than the express lube. Yeah right. It ended up being 5 dollars cheapier). Well instead of taking 30 min. It took them about 2 hrs. Then when I get my bill it isnt 14.95 like they said but, 19.xx (I know only 4 dollars but, its the point). When I get out to my car. they had left my windows rolled down, my car unlocked (I had my books from class this morning in there along with my bath and body works stuff I had just bought) and they had ate a crunch chocolate bar and a dr.pepper soft drink in my car and left the trash on the passenger's seat. Note there was still chocolate left in the candy bar wrapper. I know that I drive a 93 honda and it has a lot of miles (236,000 knock on wood it lasts for another yr or two) but, its mine. Not including that if someone wanted to they could have gotten in my trunk by pressing the release button on the bottom of my floor in my car. I have fix a flat and some other items.
The point is they should have locked my car since I had requested it. I know on the disclaimer it says not to leave valuables in your car but, to be honest I wasnt thinking.
Anyway to say the least I will be using quick tune and lube express and pay the extra 5.00.
The district mgr called me and I told him what happened. He asked if there was anything I could do and I wanted to say yes. give me a gift cert. for the hassle that I went thru but, I did the right thing and said just make sure that it doesnt happen to anyone else. He did say that they were suppose to lock my car and roll up the windows. I was thinking that I might follow up on it just to make sure.

thanks for listening to my whine.

First of all, they were eating in your car! That would have ticked me off in a major way. Then they didn't do the correct oil change. And they left the car unlocked and open.

I think I would be screaming. You have a great car;they didn't need to trash it!

I only gave walmart one shot to mess up my oil change. It took them 3 hours, left the windows down (it was WINTER) and somehow they scratched up a very rare social distortion CD of mine (one of them live from japan cd's) From then on, I take it to express lube where I don't even have to get out of the car

I guess I"m lucky i've never had a problem with Wal-mart, they are cheap fast and easy, and if they don't do it, i just do it myself.

    walmart doesn't TOUCH my car

would be tempting to send friends in to find out if they have the same experience, if you can find someone willing to do it.

I've never had a problem with Walmart. I've had them change my oil several times.

    Re: walmart's oil change center.grrr

I am wondering if I should request that they give me my money back from the oil change or a gift card to walmart. afterall. I am the one who had to get the chocolate off my seats and buy the cleaner to remove the chocolate or am I being unfair.
