Angry We are officially a zoo!

Our pets started out small enough... first a cat that we rescued, then another... and another, now we have 3. Not bad. Then my girls begged for a turtle.. easy enough and quiet and out of the way.

Then hubby wants a sugar glider.... a month later he "has" to get another so the 1st one wouldn't be lonely. WHATEVER! Go figure he would get a male and a female.... now baby makes THREE!

Today hubbys step dad tells hubby about a dog he found, we go over to his moms house... and guess what?? we leave WITH the dog!

I am at my wits end with the animals! The dog is a corgi and shes adorable... but so are the other SEVEN animals in our house! I am not taking this well and if all goes well over the next few days, the dog will be finding a new home.

Don't get me wrong, I love animals, I really do, but we don't live in a huge house and 8 indoor animals - no matter how small - are just too much!

I made it perfectly clear before we brought the dog home that I would not be responsible for this dag as far as its care and I refuse to pick up after it in the yard. Do I sound too crappy about it?? I feel like I am being a b^^&h, but just can't keep this dog. What is even harder is that shes the sweetest thing ever and the girls already love her, but I have already made sevreal mentions that she may just be visiting until she gets a new home.

Sorry for the vent... I'm just SO frusterated!
Don't make me get out my flying monkeys.

My mom wants a suger glider so bad. I can never find them for a reasonable price in our area. I so understand how you feel though, I have a cat, ferret, birds, and reptiles in the house and 3 dogs outside.

It's not so bad. We have 3, 70lb. dogs, 2 cats, and 3 kittens.

8 in all, and no problems here! They are soooooooo much fun!

LOL! I know what you mean! We started out with 1 cat, Baby Cat. Then our one cat "adopted" a stray cat, Pick. Then we got fish and they all died except for the sucker fish. So now we have a fish tank with one fish. Then my niece promised my kids a gerbil for Christmas, but was not able to make it up because of the weather so we got the boys 2 guinea pigs instead, Belly Button & Fluffy. Then my niece decided that she would bring up the gerbil, so now we have a gerbil as well called Fuzzy Navel. So now in total we have 2 cats, 2 guineas, 1 gerbil and a sucker fish!

I've got you all beat! Eight inside dogs...the smallest is 40 pounds, three indoor cats, three parrots, a pigeon, three rats, a 7 1/2 foot long red tail boa constrictor, two box turtles, two unreleaseable squirrels, a betta fish and a 75 gallon saltwater tank. We are currently fostering another cat for a rescue group. Now you can see how I got my screen name!
But, I do understand that a "zoo" is not for everyone. My DH & I bought our house based on the size of the backyard. The dogs even have their own room!

You shall only pass this way but once, so if there is any good thing you can do, or any kind thing you can say, do it now, for you shall not pass this way again.
