Thread: He didn't even say Happy Anniversary

I am so mad at my husband right now. Yesterday was our Anniversary. Money is so tight that we are down to $3.00 in the bank. He never even said Happy Anniversary. He came home and checked the balances on both bank accounts and his credit cards which are maxxed. I had put back a few dollars for a card and to make a gift. He didn't speak to me all evening and He waited until he thought I was sleeping and took the bag to his home office to open it. Then he left this morning before I was up. He felt bad about not being able to get me anything so he takes it out on me like I've done something wrong. Well now he can kiss my *ss!!!

Dont be mad at him. His pride is really hurt because of your situation and that he was not able to get anything for you. So many people have place value on things instead of words that he probably feels if he had said anything, you wouldnt have appreciated it.

One of the guys in my office was late getting home Monday night because we had a problem with a client. It was his anniversary and he knew his wife was going to be mad because he was going to be late. There really wasn't anything that he could do about it but I hope that she didn't really beat him up or anything.

I'm sure he was just upset that the couldn't get you anything. He probably figured it wasn't going to be a happy day if you didn't get something from him. I would sit down and have a talk with him if I were you. I hope everything works out ok.
