LOL...How do I get myself into these things??

Last night, DBF (remember, the one who was being the insensitive clod?) is feeling sorry for DD and making a big fuss over helping her make the "funeral arrangements". Then he tells her, "Don't worry sweetheart, we'll get you another pet." Great.

He was all ready to run to the pet store and let them pick up a new rodent. But now, the girls are tired of rats, hamsters and other critters that only live a couple of years. So how do we solve this dilemna? Oh yeah, their dad's neighbor's cat just had a litter of kittens!!

After years of me telling them, "No, we absolutely CANNOT have another cat!" (because I'm tired of fighting over who scoops the litter box, and my little cat won't like it), within the next two weeks we're getting a new kitten.
