Thread: 'American Idol' Chris Daughtry Expecting Twins

Chris Daughtry and his wife, Deanna, are expecting twins this November, he announced on his Web site Monday.

"Deanna and I are overjoyed about this double blessing," said the Season 5 fourth-place finisher, 30. "Thank you for your expressions of love and support and for respecting for our privacy during this special time."

The singer, who has gone on to front his own eponymous band, Daughtry, detailed their struggle to get pregnant. "Due to Deanna's partial hysterectomy
in 2006, the couple used IVF and had their embryos transferred to a gestational surrogate," said a statement on the site.

The couple, who wed in November 2001, are also parents to Hannah, 13 (from Deanna's prior relationship), and Griffin, 11.
