Gilmore Girl's is ending on May 15th!!
Ok, I know this isn't a reality type show but it's been one of my favorites.
Star not upset about end of ‘Gilmore Girls’
But Lauren Graham still doesn't want to fly coach
Updated: 7:33 p.m. ET May 6, 2007
NEW YORK - Lauren Graham, who plays an independent mom in the drama-comedy “Gilmore Girls,” says she’s not upset the show is ending.
“I think it’s the best decision for the show,” Graham told Newsweek for editions that will hit newstands on Monday. “One of the things Alexis (Bledel, her costar) and I wished could be different was the schedule, and it really can’t be.”
The CW network announced last week the show will end May 15 after seven seasons on the air.
Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, the show became popular in large part because of its witty, comedy-infused banter. Set in fictional Stars Hollow, Conn., the series chronicles the saga of a single mother, Lorelai, and her daughter, Rory, who are more like best friends than parent and child.
Graham has previously said getting the rapid dialogue right takes a lot of time, and it has taken its toll over the years. The show also suffered creatively and in the ratings this year after Sherman-Palladino and her husband left last season after a contract dispute.
Graham, whose movie credits include “Because I Said So” and “Evan Almighty,” didn’t detail her plans for life after the show.
“I did say to my agent, ’Wait, do I have to fly coach now?’ That’s the one thing I really don’t want to do,” she told the magazine.

Re: Gilmore Girl's is ending on May 15th!!
I cried while watching the last show.
I know its silly but I can't help it, I loved this show. I wish things would've ended a little different for Rory though. I mean, glad she got a good job but it just kinda sucked the way they had things end between her and Logan. Oh well, now I'll have to start buying the dvd sets. LOL

Re: Gilmore Girl's is ending on May 15th!!
Here is a recap I found online. It may tell the story better than I did. LOL
Bon Voyage
Outside the dragonfly, Lorelai drives up in the Jeep. She is rushing Rory to the Inn so that she can meet Christiane Amanpour. Rory doesn’t believe her mother until she walks into the Inn and sees correspondent with her own two eyes. Lorelai approaches Christiane and introduces herself. She tells her all about Rory and asks if she would mind meeting her. Christiane graciously consents. Rory is in awe but she tells her what she would like to do. Christiane gives her some career advice and hands her a card. She tells Rory to send her some of her pieces and they can keep in touch. Rory is thrilled.
In Rory’s bedroom, Lorelai and Rory are planning a month long trip checking out the roller coasters of America. Rory is placing stamps on seventy-four resumes that she is about to send out. She is making sure that all possible options are covered. Rory pulls out the rocket. She tells her mom she hasn’t spoken to Logan and that the sadness comes in waves. She tells Rory that it takes time and that you just have to feel sad until it feels better. Rory asks Lorelai if she is feels better about Luke. Lorelai says yes but she is unconvincing. She tells Rory that she thinks that she and Luke are done. Rory suggests they just need more time. Lorelai explains that he just never responds to her gestures and she doesn’t want to make any more excuses for him. Lorelai tells her she needs someone who can feel and can show her how he feels. She says they are better as friends.
In the diner, Luke is ordering hot dogs, burgers and buns for the graduation party the town is having for Rory. Liz comes in with Doula and tries to get Luke to baby sit but Luke is too busy with the party planning. Liz asks Luke if he gave the necklace to Lorelai but Luke explains that he got it as a back up gift for Rory. She asks him about the song but he tells her that they are just friends and that the song meant nothing.
At Friday night dinner, Emily is annoyed that Rory isn’t there. She doesn’t think Rory should have taken the meeting during their dinner. Emily asks about their rollercoaster trip. Lorelai explains that Rory is tired she needs to takes some time off and their trip may be the last chance they have to spend time together. Richard asks about the Inn and Emily takes the opportunity to suggest that Lorelai put a spa in the Inn. She suggests it’s a perfect time for expansion. Rory arrives and announces that she has a job. She leaves in three days. She explains that she had drinks with Hugo Gray, the on-line editor for whom she has been doing some writing. He told Rory that the reporter who is covering the Barack Obama presidential campaign had to drop out. He asked her if she would be interested in taking his place. Rory is both excited and apprehensive. She is concerned that it is happening so fast. As always, Lorelai encourages her daughter unfailingly.
Lorelai and Rory enter the diner discussing her travel list. After they order their coffee, Lorelai cancels the graduation party. She explains that Rory got a job and is leaving in two days. Babette, Patty, Kirk and Lulu and disappointed that the party has been canceled so Lorelai uses a menu and pretends to present Rory with her degree. Luke congratulates her sincerely. Lorelai apologizes but explains they just don’t have time to do the party because she has so much to do before she leaves.
Luke goes to the Dragonfly to speak to Sookie. He tells Sookie that even though Lorelai has cancelled the party, he would like to throw the party anyway and make it a surprise. Sookie likes the idea and agrees to make the desserts.
Lorelai and Rory are walking down the street. The are making some last minute purchases, getting Rory ready to leave for her new job. Rory wants to stop by the post office to get lots of postcards to send to Lorelai. Lorelai suggests she can just email her but Rory believes sending postcards is a lost art form and besides it’s fun to get mail. Lorelai decides they are going to Patty’s to borrow a back support that Rory could use for traveling but when they get to Patty’s studio the doors are locked. Lorelai knocks. Patty opens the door a few inches and says hello. She is hiding the fact that the town is inside her studio The Gilmore girls are a bit puzzled by her behaviour. Patty explains to them that she is consulting with her muse and Lorelai tells her they will come back when she isn’t busy.
After they leave, the town has a secret meeting to plan the graduation party. They begin to divide up the duties. Luke and Sookie are doing the food. Taylor asks if Luke has obtained the proper permits but the town is ignoring Taylor’s demand for red tape. Maury offers to supply the sound system. Kirk volunteers to be the D.J. and Lulu tells them she will bring the balloons. Luke argues that the town wants to throw this party and if Taylor doesn’t want to support their efforts he can stay home. Luke gathers up volunteers to set up and plans to get started after dark.
It is evening. Lorelai and Rory are walking down the street with bags in their hands. Rory tells Lorelai she should come with her to visit Lane but Lorelai argues that Rory needs some alone time with Lane. Rory is concerned that it is cutting into the time she has left with Lorelai. Lorelai tries to convince her that they will have their time. As they stand talking about the need for a fanny pack, the town begins to set up for the party. When they notice Lorelai and Rory standing there, they scurry off undetected.
Lane and Rory are sitting on Lane’s porch reminiscing. Zach asks to speak to Lane privately. He explains that the town wants to set up but she and Rory are sitting on the porch facing the town center. Lane is adamant that they will finish visiting with her best friend when they finish and the town just has to wait. When she returns, Rory is a little sad. She is so nervous. Lane tells her that she is going to be great. Rory doesn’t feel ready to go. She tells Lane that her mom is fine but Lane tells her that Lorelai must heartbroken to see her leave. Rory tells her how important their friendship has been; of course, Lane reciprocates the sentiment.
Rory arrives home to find Lorelai busily ironing. She explains that the flatter the clothes the more that will fit in the suitcase. Lorelai babbles on about the last minute details. Rory finally asks…
Rory: Mom.
Lorelai: Yeah?
Rory: I don’t get it.
Lorelai: What?
Rory: How can you be so okay with everything. Ever since I’ve told you I’m leaving your just all busy with shopping and packing…‘n you seem fine with it.
Lorelai: (Sadly) It’s too soon.
Rory: (Confused) What?
Lorelai: If I stop to think about you leaving…now…I’m going to fall apart. We still have time left. It’s too soon.
Rory finally understands her mother is sad about her leaving but is trying to control the pain. She begins to help with the mundane tasks Lorelai has embraced in order to cope with the challenge of dealing with Rory leaving Stars Hollow.
The town is busy setting up for the party. Luke is organizing and making sure everything gets done properly. Babette runs up to him to tell him a storm is coming in and it’s going to rain out the party. They begin discussing where they can accommodate two hundred people. Jackson wonders out loud where they can get a wedding tent. Luke stands thinking. Later in the diner we see him sewing tarps together with fishing line.
Lorelai walks into Rory’s room and watches her sleep. She pulls the cover over her in a motherly fashion and weeps.

Re: Gilmore Girl's is ending on May 15th!!
Lorelai and Rory are driving in the Jeep as the rain pours down. Rory can’t figure out why no one is answering their phones so that she can say good-bye. Lorelai promises that they will find them. Both are stunned to see the whole town under a large tent with ‘Bon Voyage Rory’ signs. The town is clapping and cheering. Jackson and Zach bring umbrellas and escort the mother and daughter to the party. Rory and Lorelai are overwhelmed. As the town congratulates Rory, Lorelai spots her parents and walks over to speak to them. Lorelai expresses her shock that the town has done all of this for Rory but Richard tells her that this tribute is not all for Rory. He explains that it takes a remarkable person to inspire such an outpouring of love. Rory thanks the town and her mother for everything. Emily is still pushing the idea of a spa and promotes the idea of lending her money to make it happen. Lorelai finally realizes that it is Emily’s way of attempting to stay in contact with her daughter. Lorelai suggests they continue Friday night dinners which surprises and pleases Emily. Sookie comes to talk to Lorelai and tells her that Luke has planned the whole event even when the storm threatened to rain it out. Lorelai leaves Sookie to find Luke. Luke leaves the diner with some charcoal in hand when Lorelai sees him.
Lorelai: Hey.
Luke: Hey.
Lorelai: Thank you.
Luke: Ah…it’s…no big deal.
Lorelai: (Lorelai shakes her head and looks at Luke with love.) Luke…
Luke: (Looks her in the eyes.) I just need to see you happy.
(They embrace passionately while the town celebrates in the background.)
At the house, Lorelai and Rory are doing the last minute preparations. Lorelai is bemoaning the fact that they had so little time. She starts giving Rory motherly advice about a lot of nothing trying to avoid the feeling of loss. Rory reassures her mother that she has given her everything she needs. We see that Lorelai is wearing the necklace Luke gave her. They stop at the diner where Luke prepares her last breakfast before she leaves. Rory happily notices that Luke and Lorelai are very much in love. As we leave Stars Hollow for the last time, Lorelai and Rory are chatting about nothing in particular, just happy to spend the last few moments together.
