Buried my mom today
Mom dies in 2019 and the internment was supposed to be in 2020 but Covid happened.
For reasons I don't want to go into, I wasn't able to attend but my niece Susie set up a Zoom call so my DH and I could watch.
Here is a poem that I wrote and was read during the service:
Jean
She always rooted for the underdog
She said: Put yourself in the other guys shoes
So keep God in your heart
And common sense on your chart
Then you will never lose
So I cried a little but I know she's in a better place with my dad
To get flowers, you need more than sunshine, you need chit and rain too

Lovely remembrance for your mom - she sounds like she lived life simply, but fully. Surely your poem made her smile! Hugs for you...

I'm sorry for your loss and that you couldn't be there, it was nice you were able to be a part of it through zoom.
Keep your hands to yourself, leave other people's things alone, and be kind to one another.
