Looking for some info on "Life alert systems"

My dad has not been feeling well, and is over an hour from me so I was thinking of looking into a life alert for him. Does anyone have any companies they have used or ones we should not use?

I ''think''.....not sure.....but I think Life Alert is recommended by AARP too

well I saw on that one you had to do a lengthy contract...but will look into it further...

anyone have any idea if insurance pays for any of it?

LOL...Yeah right. Insurance wouldn't even pay for my dads rehabilitation after his open heart surgery!!
