Thread: Things just didn't work out

They have her picture up now. OMG does she ever look sad. It's breaking my heart and all I want to do is go get her and love her. I really wished I wouldn't have done this to her.

For some reason I thought that was Haven. This OT is killing me and I'm not thinking right. It's the 21st that we get the puppy.

I got home this morning and the guilt is eating me alive. When I dropped her off with Barb, the woman who runs the place, she knew I was having a hard time with it. She told me if things would change I could come and get her back. Rob said I should go get her back so I woke up early and called them but Barb isn't in until Saturday and I think they are lying to me but they told me she's already adopted out. I'm going to call on Saturday and speak to her and if she is still there I am going to be upset.

If your off today I would just go up there and see what is going on. They should be able to call her, I can't imagine she doesn't have a cell phone.
Mon. - Sat. 11:30 am to 3:00 pm for dogs
Sunday 11:30 am to 2:00 pm for dogs
With the time now being 2 you might not be able to make it today, but I would be up there tomorrow when they open, especially if Penny is still on the website.

They lied to me on purpose. My vet went after them. They are known for lying to people whose pets escape and go missing. They treated me like crap until I made another call to my vet. All the horror stories you hear about that place, is true and that's coming from vet's office. I was told in no certain terms to donate anymore food or money to them. They have plenty but they are always crying for more.

I learned a lot of that place today and none of it was good.

I made a mistake, one that was eating me up alive. I will never let something like this happen again.

Penny was so happy to see me and when she saw Smokey and Smokey saw her....... The chase was on! They ran around playing and jumping on each other then she went and ate some food and off to the bath we went! Noes it's time to take a nap so I can go pull more OT.

My vet did say she isn't finished with that place yet. I don't know if they are going to go after them publicly or what but I know the people at my vet's office. This isn't going to be pretty.

I'm glad you got her back, I assume your vet helped you with that. My sis and brother in law are on the board or something of Ruths out in PG. they have nothing to do with HS.
She has told me that she knew people that had worked there and they had some stories to tell about HS. She has nothing to good to say about them.
If HS is doing wrong about things then it needs to come out.
In the description they had up on Penny it said she was housebroken, so there they lied about her.
I think your just going to have to have lots of patience and work with her to housebreak her, and just think you will be getting a puppy soon and you are going to have to house break that also. LOL you will have your work cut out.

OMG I have tried 3 times to post a reply from the computer at work & it keeps deleting everything.

Penny had no accidents since I brought her home

I'm glad she hasn't had any accidents. Right now Ruths is only taking cats, since the fire they haven't been able to get things ready for dogs. But they do plan on taking them sometimes in the future.
