Well I think they got our problem fixed. He said there was a short in the wires coming from the main line to our house. He disconnected it and it seems to be working now . So far that is.

He went on to say we had a verbal contract & that we had to pay a $500 early termination fee. I told him you represented yourself as an employee of Verizon when in fact you are not one therefore we don't have a contract with anyone. I told him I spoke to my personal attorney who informed me that since you never provided us with service or merchandise & we never had a meeting of the mind there is not a valid contract in place.
Oh did I mention they are calling me on my old cell phone # and not the business number? I got a call last night that our internet service should be active by this morning. Only problem is we don't have their modem & the phone line they were activating for our internet was our fax line.
Early Termination Fee of WHAT? They didn't have a signed contract. Tell them to sue you and have Judge Judy settle the case. You can be on tv and make them look like an idiot. Brighthouse would not even schedule ours until they had a signed contract.

Sandy...today I finally received a fax from "Verizon". I did a Google search on the fax # it was sent from. It came from a beauty supplier in Las Vegas. I read the contract. It will actually be more expensive than what we now have plus we have limited internet service. I am sure it is probably more bandwith than we actually ever use during a given month but I don't like the notion of limited when I currently have unlimited. Soooo I called Verizon. They never called us nor could they better the price I was receiving from our current provider.
Now I just got off the phone from "Ron" from "Verizon". I asked him who he worked for & he had to admit he did not work for Verizon but worked for a company who paid verizon for a list of former customers. I told him I had spoked to our attorney & since he was representing himself as Verizon when he wasn't any "verbal" contract was invaild since he was deceptive. Hung right up on me!
