    Dish rag question

My dish rags/washcloths smell after 1 day..They get rung out and laid over the faucet so its not like there in a heap..

    Any suggestions?

Try nuking it in the microwave for about 30 seconds then hanging up to dry. Make sure they are damp and not dry, othewise they'll catch on fire. I do this with my hand knit cotton dishcloths and they no longer smell.

Be careful though...they come out of the microwave really hot!

The microwave will probably do the trick.
Or just use really hot water to rinse the rag, then hang it up to dry.

I thoroughly rinse my dishcloth using hot water after every use. That generally wards off that nasty smell and put it to be washed every couple days. And once it's rinsed well, set it somewhere where it can dry quickly & easily. I often drape mine over the dish drainer or dish pan.
