    miserable sleep problem

I have had a sleep problem for as long as I can remember. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and put on a c-pap 20 yrs ago. I have provigil for sleepiness during the day. I have always had periods of a couple of weeks where I would be too sleepy , then another period where I didn't sleep well. For the past few weeks I have been so sleepy, miserably sleepy. I wouldn't get in a car for anything because I would fall asleep. What could it be? I have a drs appointment Tuesday, it just isn't getting here fast enough. I have been so miserable today, I can barely keep my eyes open. Yes I could go to bed but I have been accomplishing a lot today and I'd love to get a lot moe done. My blood sugar isn't too high or low. Any other suggestions? Thanks, oh and I'm not pregnant!

Have your b-12 levels checked. A while back I was so totally exhausted and sleepy and it was extremely low b-12.

I hope you feel better soon.

It may have something to do with your sleep apnea. I've heard of people being really tired and wore out during the day. But I think thats before they get a cpap machine now that I think about it. I hope you find out what it is. I was really wore out for a while to the point I didn't want to get up even to get something to eat or anything. It turned out I was severely anemic. After I took care of that I wasn't so tired anymore.

Awww {{{hugs**** Sondra. I know what it feels like to not get enough sleep. My main problem is that I am a total stress puppy so I have a hard time shutting my brain down after a long day at work.
I have been taking a Just Sleep Target Brand pill for the past 2 months & it actually works so far.
Have you tried changing your pillow? Hope you get some answers.

I am anemic, my hct runs about 27 but nothing more can be done for it short of transfusion and the drs don't want to do that. I also take B12 injections because I don't absorb it and now that you mention it I haven't had my injection in several weeks. -----I took my injection about 4 hrs ago and I feel better now. I hope that's it. I guess I will know tomorrow. Narcolepsy sounded horrible but I think I'm too old for that, although there are always exceptions. Thanks for all the suggestions.

My Aunt is in her 60's almost 70 and has narcolepsy. She can not drive on long trips at all. Her vehicle is a custom van with a bed in the back. It kind of ties in with sleep apnea.
