I dont go to the theater very often but when I do I usually buy my stuff there(only because I dont go very often) but even when I do buy stuff I dont buy much thats for sure. I usually only go with the bf so we get a thing of popcorn to share and a drink to share. But I have took in drinks and candy before. I dont see it as that big of a deal, surely they know everyone does it

I always bring my own beverage and snacks as the concession prices are quite expensive. I don't drink pop, but on occasion I will get a slush. The only time I get popcorn would be when I a rewards coupon for a free popcorn. To be honest I don't care much for popcorn, so I wait to redeem the coupon when I have a popcorn eater with me to take advantage of the free refills.

But you already admitted that you do sneak in snacks... so apparently, especially since you believe it is illegal... you pretty much think it DOES mean you can do whatever the hell you want!

For the record... no, I have NEVER snuck anything into the movies. We like the movie theatre popcorn when we go to a regular one and the price of the drinks comes w/ the price of going out. But we usually go to a dinner theatre and buy dinner and dessert w/ our movie (which is like twice a year, if even that).. don't even have popcorn.
Whatever! .. You can think what you want and I will think what I want!
And no, I don't pretty much think I can do whatever in the hell I want! I am not bashing ppl for bringing food or drinks into a theater .. I don't see a big deal about it.

We very rarely pay for movies. I think in the last 12 months we've paid once for movies. I do buy the drinks and popcorn sometimes. Usually I wait until afterward to take the kids out to eat.

i say wait until it comes out on dvd and get it from Netflix, that way you can eat all the pizza and candy and popcorn you want right in your living room!

Yep we do and almost always have. I read a news article awhile back on the amount of profit they make on the candy etc. at the movies. Its insane!
Its bad enough ( I figure) and how much it cost just to get into the movies these days, so I be damn I going to pay $3.50 for a 12 oz pop and $2.50 for a box of candy I can buy for $1 at the store!

I'd have to say we usually don't bring anything into the theaters (aside from a tictac or a piece of gum) we rarely go to the movies and it's usually right before dinner or right after so we don't want to spoil our appetite with junk food or are too stuffed to even think about it lol

I think people would 'sneak' snacks in less if the prices at the counter weren't so outrageous. Seems the theaters are shooting themselves in the foot.
And yes, I send my DH in with juice boxes/drinks and snacks, along with paper bags to share a tub of popcorn.
