    Big Sunday dinner?????

Now that Joe and I "officially" are "dating" (LOL) he informed me that his family (brothers, sisters, their families, plus many aunts, uncles etc) ALL get together every Sunday for a HUGE family dinner. He said he was afraid that it would scare me away so he never mentioned it before. LOL I am an only child and dont have many relatives and we barely get together for holidays. Joe's family is of Italian descent.

I am really looking forward to this! It sounds like a good time and I have met most of his family and they are all really nice people! He said that they ALL have bought houses that have HUGE dining rooms and HUGE dining room tables because of the family dinner thing. Well I fit right in because my dining room table is HUGE (found it at a salvage store and thought it was cool)....can fit at least 18 people comfortably plus I have another table in my kitchen.....maybe thats why he is dating me me-because I have table large enough to accomodate his family! LOL

Does anyone elses family do a huge Sunday dinner?
    Keep your chin up!

Yes we do, but it is more about inviting our friends in and as Spring and Summer come in, it will be about BBQing and outdoor projects, gardening.
We invite 10 people often some of the same weekly, and we barter for things, I need my garden tilled, so I have a guy and his gal set up to till the garden, in return he gets to reap the rewards of the harvest and one pan of lasgana, garlic bread and salad....and a night of free babysitting which I love as I won't have kids, too late, so this is fun time for me!
To the OP...have a GREAT time..this is SERIOUS, dinner with the whole family!
How sweet Spring and for you..Love is the air..
Enjoy, embrace and be thankful for such a nice blessing...

At last....my love has come around..

When my grandparents were alive, and before all the aunts and uncles got married and had families of their own, we used to do a huge Sunday dinner once or twice a month at my grandma's. Its something I still miss, none of my family seems too hot on seeing each other on a regular basis. If his family does it and keeps doing it that is just awesome!
