Thread: wow what a week,I need a break

shewwe,taking a few minutes for myself,its been busy with Shalee coming home from the hospital,Im exhausted. Her surgery went well,but even after a week she still cannot hold 1 bite of food down,where they cut her in the back of her head,their is a nerve ending that is used for throwing up and hick cups,when the surgery site swelled,it put pressure on the nerve ending,untill the swelling goes down,everything she eats comes up with in seconds after swallowing. She has lost 10 lbs. Tday she was able to drink 1 cup of choclate drink and 1/2 cup of juice and it stayed down, 1/2 piece of toast came up. that was her total intake for the enitre day,other than sips Im maing her take.
She isnt walking good,she is almost doing a shuffle,kind of dragging her feet,but this evening her feet are actually taking steps. Her top part of her legs are in horrible pain,like the muscles are locked up,but the more she is up and around the more it will help her. She has been running a low grade fever for a few days about 100,other than that she is pretty tired and having mild headaches and extremely nervous or easily aggrivated,which is normal for this kind of surgery.
The other kids are doing well,throwing balls over sisters body,acting up,Im going to stick them to a wall,but as Shalee roars at them they go running,lol.
I see there has been some changes here,wow,Ive missed a lot,hope Ill figure it out.

Poor kid. Hugs for her and you. I'm sorry she is having such a hard recovery. I have a pretty get well card that would be perfect for her if you want to pm me her name and addy. Praying she feels better soon.

I'm glad the surgery went well I hope she'll get where she can keep food down. Take it easy its easy to wear yourself out. Get lots of rest both of you.
