Concerta
A while back ( I think last school grade)I posted a neener about my son getting better in school after taking the 18mg dose of concerta. The beginning of this year he started out OK. In November his teacher wanted to have a meeting with me.
Apparently he was slipping back into his old habits and the teacher asked if I had him evaluated for ADD.. I told her he has been on ADD meds since last year..
Ty's doc and I decided to up his dose from the 18 to the 27 controlled release. I have yet to hear from his teacher.. No news is good news right?
I got his report card. He either stayed the same or his grade went up in all his subjects
Our school system has that retarded 1, 2, 3, 4 system. Ty had mostly 2's but I saw quite a few 3's and the 3's he had to begin with stayed where they are..
I am really pleased he is doing better At least it's not the opposite. If you told me 3 years ago that my son needed to be put on drugs I probably would've came out swearing and swinging. Boy how wrong I was hehe

Glad he's doing better - but the teacher should have at least let you know that!
My oldest in on the same dose at 21. She was diagnosed later at 16. Hope he continues to do better - and petition that school to get a REAL grading system! LOL!

First of all..love the new additon to your siggy.
or did I just notice it?
Iam glad your son is doing well on the meds. I am like you, I am soo against the use of all the ADD drugs out there and would have flipped out. BUT..there are kids who need it and for that I am grateful they have meds for treatment. I do think sometimes meds get thrown around when they aren't needed though..but I am super happy they are working for him! WTG!

My son was on the 54 mgs. When we moved out to PA, it took forever to get into a doctor to get them there so I decided to give it a rest for a bit. Pa is against the meds where as Wisconsin kinda pushes them. I'm glad he's doing good. There is a big difference with meds.
