Already got rid of cable tv so that saved about $50 a month. Kids were bummed but they can watch at their friends houses. Also got rid of 'expensive shampoo' and now use VO5 from the .99 store(like it better than the expensive stuff actually).

Hubby and I eat out a lot. That would be the first to go.
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.

I drive a little 2000 Saturn. Paid $34.00 last month, paid $37.00 yesterday. So it's time to limit my trips to Target and Walmart to once a month both in the same day. I had been going every week and buy too much stuff, my downfall. I live on social security and I'm sure we will get a tiny bit of raise Jan. 1, 2009 maybe enough to buy a loaf of bread and 1/2 pound of burger.

Convenience foods and dining out. We have already cut it down to pizza party on Friday's and we have started making more and more homemade.

Also paper plates, towels, and plastic cups. We have a dish washer now, so we use our dishes and cups. Not sure how it will affect the water bill just yet!

Husband gets disability social security, and it seems every time he gets a raise on social security raise, they also raise the price of his medicare.

Our first to go so far has been cable, home phone, and internet. We were lucky and able to get several channels here without cable, my friend has me on his cell plan, and has data cards for the laptops that he uses at work, so I use at home.....but im sure there is going to be more going soon.

Eating out would be the first thing to go for us too. I have cut back on trips to town. I thought nothing of going 3 or 4 times a week before. Now I try to do everything on Friday. I haven't had to buy shampoo or deoderant for myself in years because of free samples and test products. That is one reason I do surveys even if they don't pay because a lot of times they lead to test products.

Probably eating out for us too...we do it a lot. We've already cut down on our trips...for the most part. If I have to go uptown, I try and do other things at the same time, so it's not constant driving. There are some days, not many, but some where we don't leave the house at all.
