    Net10 cell phone help~Please~

I just bought a net10 nokia cell, I used to have a tracfone but I let the service expire on accident so this net10 is all new to me........it came with 300 minutes, I activated it and called my dh's cell so that he could have my new number on his phone, well that ate up 1/2 a minute.....well I charged the phone after that and once it was charged it said I had 299 minutes, the next day(today) it said 298 minutes, I have not made or recieved any calls on this phone yet........does it take a minute away every day from you? It doesnt make sense. I am so used to my tracfone but after comparing prices this is the better deal but if it takes minutes from me daily then it isnt the better deal........any help would be appreciated...tia

I just went and looked at the phone again and it took another minute from me!!!

I have these net10 phones for my daughters

when you make a call 5 seconds or 59 seconds it takes 1 minute off not matter what. any text messages take 1/2 minute off.

you may have lost a minute by setting up voice mail or listening to messages. we've never lost minutes daily for service.

had ours since April. the only bad thing is that the screen show the date the minutes expire so your staring at that date for 3 months.
there is a way to listen to the time and date, change screens, modes and stuff that all eats up minutes

I havent set up voice mail because I wont be using it and I dont do text messaging.....I havent messed with the phone since I got it and set it up to the screen that I like and the ring tone that I like, yet it still is taking minutes from me just sitting on my table.

That sucks! My dh got one of those when we got rid of Cingular. He never has that problem either though so I'm not sure what would be causing that. I hope you can call them or check on line to see what's going on.

mine doesn't take away mins by just sitting there or when I check the time, maybe just a glitch in your phone...
If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.
