My son's school has a policy on those "hanging off your butt pants." If a teacher sends you to the office because of it, they make you tuck your shirt in and wear a bright pink belt all day long. It has curbed a lot of the problem.
My thinking is that a lot of parents bring this problem on themselves. It would be kind of tough for your kids to run around with their pants hanging off of them if you bought them the right size to begin with. I mean, if they are really a size 10, why they hell would you buy them a 14?

My oldest tried that once and only once. We were getting ready to go to the store and he was complaining his shorts didn't fit. I checked the waist. Fit all right. He says no they're too short. The came to just above the knee. I tell him there's nothing wrong with them. Wear them. So then we're at the store and he's walking a little ahead of me and I notice his shorts are below his knee's and he's got his shirt untucked over his waistband. I calmly walked up behind him and lifted his shirt up. For all the world to see his underwear. Then told him to pull his shorts up or the next time they were coming down and I didn't care where we were when they did. Didn't try that again.

That would be so neat if a mother could take said child to a security officer and have him rip her a new one.

The security people are not payed to discipline the customers children. The mother should have been handling the situation.
