I use the walmart brand of liquid soap. Its a good price and I like the way it smells.

I however do NOT use any kind of dryer sheets.

I have used liquid Tide or Gain for years - and vary the sents. I also use the liquid fabric softener.

Powders didn't dissolve correctly, and the residue caused contact dermatitis. Powders can also clog up the drainage tubes.

I use Liquid Cheer or Gain. I use liquid fabric softener most of the time, and dryer sheets other times. I dont like the powder for the same reason as everyone else.

I use liquid as well. I am not even sure when or why I switched to liquid. I have always started the wash then add the soap so maybe thats why I didn't get spots? I have to use ALL the free clear one...due to my sons allergies. But I do love the smell of Gain, just can't use it.

I use liquid too because the powder clumps. I use either Seventh Generation or Citrasuds since they're both all natural.

Tide and Gain are both P&G products. Try Tide again, but next time use less. It really doesnt take a whole capful.

I love the powder version of Arm & Hammer detergent. It is wonderful at getting out the scents that can gather on band, tennis and yard clothes.
BUT.... the stores down here stopped carrying powders at all about 2 years ago.
So, we had to switch to the liquid version. I still just use Arm & Hammer detergent.

I use Tide liquid HE or Era X2 liquid. Powder seems to clump.
I use Doney ultra liquid for softener.
