Is this right? getting more than one free offer so you can sell them.
I was telling someone about the about the free Gevalia coffee pot deal & someone else over heard. Now I hear that the person who over heard ordered one for every family member & are going to sell the coffee pots at a flea market.
1st is it even possible to get more than one of these offers at the same address?
Is this an ok thing to do? I mean you do pay the shipping on them...right?
I think it's kinda deceiving the company. But I dont know I'm still not sure.
I also told them well this offer has been around for a few yrs so chances are most have heard about it.

Nothing wrong with trying to make some $$
Especially if you paid for shipping
ETA: I think it would be hard to find someone to sell these to for even what you paid for shipping.
I think she's gonna lose $

I thought it was one per household. I got in on the offer a long time ago. My coffee pot broke after 2 years of use, so after 6 months or so (so two and a half years-ish) they sent me one of those pamphlet thingies saying I could get a coffee maker, caraffe and two mugs for X-amount. Well I sent it in and they sent my check back with a notice saying "One promotion per household".
Its not something I would do, get them to sell.

OK...I membership per household so I would say no they will not being getting the extra ones....LOL!

The purpose of the free coffee pot is to get you to try their coffee in the hopes that you will become loyal customer. I have taken advantge of the coffee pot offer before and I got the coffee for almost a yr. I loved the coffee and sometimes i would order for special occasions, like a basket and and very nice cups, and some specialty coffees for a birthday gift .
BUT if I ordered a lot in different addresses I would feel like I was stealing and that I was deceiving the company.

I did this offer years ago and my coffee pot didn't last 4 months. They refused to replace it so I signed up again with my mom's address and got the free pot again, then canceled. Ok, so it wasn't the most ethical thing to do, but I was expecting to get a pot that lasted more than 4 months also.
I wouldn't have done it just to anther pot to sell tho.

I signed up for the offer too, they sent me one, then for some odd reason, Gevalia kept sending them to me. When I got the second one from them, I called them and said hey I didn't order this and I'm not paying for it and they told me that when I had ordered my first one, it was backordered or something like that, and that this was the one I had ordered. I realized that arguing with them was pointless after 30 minutes on the phone trying to convince them that I already had one that they sent to me. Then not even 2 weeks later, UPS brought me another one from them. Honestly, I love my coffee but I had no need for 3 of the coffeemakers. Another phone call provided the same results...it was my "backordered" one. I gave one to a friend as a gift and the other one to the battered women's shelter and kept one for me...which broke not too long after having it (within 6 months).
I wouldn't order it just to try and make money off of it or try to get around the one per household thing. But my question is, what about the case of roommates? Don't they have separate households in one house?

I think it is NOT ok to do more than one free offer and sell the rest. Not just with coffee pots but any freebie. Companys make these offers to get their products out. When people take advantage then it hurts all of us in the long run.

I had sent for the free Senseo and they sent me 4 of them and I only ordered 1. I gave them to family and friends but never would have NEVER considered selling them. I remember a few years back there were lots of freebies to print out and some were getting bookoos of them and selling them on ebay. You will notice there are arent many free coupons anymore other than only print out ONE.

I got 2 of the Senseos also. They said to just keep it, so I gave it to my friend.
