    secret touch to everyday foods?

I was scrambling eggs the other morning. I put milk, salt and butter in them. I was wondering what secret touch you have for ordinary foods to make them special. I hate toasters. I have to butter the bread and pan toast it. A little bacon grease is good on it. Unhealty though. I thought about doing a thread for breakfast, supper, whatever. What do you do to your roast, fried chicken, vegetables, whatever. Just the simple things to make it special

In french toast we add some sugar to give it more flavor.

I make my coleslaw with some sugar in it also.

If you like a little suger in that type of food, you would probably be a happy eater in Pa. Us 'Dutchie' add sugar to most everything!

As for scrambled eggs, I like to add sour cream to it instead of milk. It's so good that way!

Also when making potato & macaroni salad we like to add miracle whip to it just to give a little zing.

I put brown sugar on pork. It is good with bacon and sausage, and ham. Not a lot, just a sprinkle. I like little smokies wrapped in bacon and then rolled in brown sugar, then bake until bacon is done. Yummy, high in calories but delicious.

For eggs, I add half & half and "invisible" seasonings..meaning anything my girls can't see with their eyes..the minute it's seen, it's OH MY GOSH, WHAT IS THAT!!! and then chances are they won't eat it

For french toast, we use cinnamon toast or french bread.

I add onion to a lot of things, even though we don't eat onion in everything..it just seems to enhance the flavor of things....but take it out once I'm ready to serve it.
