Thread: Card Shower Please, please

This will be kinda long, but I would like ya'll to know about this and send cards if you possibly can. Pm me and I will give you the address. Ok, here goes: We have had a dear friend we have known for 26 years. This guy is about the sweetest guy there is. All the time we've known him, he just wanted a wife to love and lots of children. Children was so important to him. Always talking about all the things he'd do if he had kids. I am not being mean, but he is not a good looking guy. But like I say, he makes up for it with his huge heart. No girls really wanted to get serious with him. He did everything for them. Will , about 9 years ago, a girl moved in with him and it didn't go will. She'd go out without him, mess around, you know the old story. They split, but she was pregnant. There wasn't a happier man alive. She had Logan who is now 8, and they had joint custody. Then finally, about 6 years ago, a girl married him. They had Jessie who is now 5. The marriage isnt great but there have been many complications. Now for the complications:
About 4 years ago, 8 year old Logan was diagonsed with little brain tumors. Scott, the father has watched his son go through all kinds of horrors that cancer patients do. It has devastated him. Then about a year ago, they found a huge one in the center of his brain. Can't do much for it. He is slowly going blind. Needless to say , his life expectancy is short. He had been given 6 months, but he has passed that point. It effects many of his functions such as speech and all. He still gets treatment, but all know it is not gonna keep him alive. Meanwhile, because the child is not his wife's, there have been some marital problems. So basically, he is watching his son die.
Well, 5 year old Jessie started having problems that scared Scott. So he had him checked out. I'm afraid it is the same thing. This coming Friday, little Jessie is scheduled at Cook's hospital here in Texas for brain surgery. If they find what they think they might, they will sew him back up, and let nature run it's course.
This man who wanted children more than anything is watching his 2 young, young sons suffer and eventually die. I am just sitting here crying my eyes out while I write this.
I asked him how he would feel about Logan and Jessie receiving a card shower from here. When we told him what it is, he was thrilled. Said the boys would be so excited to get cards from all over the United States. So, I am asking any of you that would, please please. You would brighten up 2 little boys that have way to much to bare for there age. And I am sure it would help dad so much to see them excited about their cards.
