In Jersey, we have the best tomatoes (and the best melons, chib44) and in Indiana, where I am now, we have ....uhhhhh CORN!!!!! We also have the Colts and the speedway down in Indy. Up here in South Bend, we have the College football hall of fame (WHOOPIE!) and Notre Dame University plus we can take the South Shore to Chicago (YAY)

Well, we have corn. And The Morton family (as in Morton salt) is the originator of Arbor Day. And Fremont has three spots classified at haunted.
And we have corn. Corn, corn... far as the eye can see.
Oh, we do have a few neat places. Platteview State Park has a 3 story watch tower you can climb and the view is amazing. It also has some smaller natural waterfalls, its really gorgeous, especially in the Fall.

In the eastern half of PA where I live you have the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and the 76'ers. Philly is also the "Cradle of Liberty". Lots of history in the city and nearby is Valley Forge. The Philadelphia Zoo is fantastic. There are many outlet shopping centers in PA. I grew up near the Pocono Moutains and you can find plenty of white-water rafting trips and steam train rides through historic coal mining areas. Crayola products are made in Easton. Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom is great and let's not forget the "Chocolate Capital" Hershey and it's YUMMY smelling park!! A drive through the Appalachians in the fall is so beautiful! All the shades of red, orange and yellow!! Oh, I almost forgot to mention the drive through Centralia. You can see what's left of a once flourishing town with one of the nation's longest burning coal mines underneath it. Ah, the rising coal smoke and it looks like a "ghost town" only there's no homes...just streets and sidewalks. Memories, I still have a small chunk of coal in my knee from my childhood!!
Since nedtenanite asked about the cave, I said it's Crystal Cave near Kutztown, PA. I also forgot to mention Pocono Raceway for all you NASCAR fans, #3 FOREVER!!! And Gettysburg, the bloodiest battle and turning point of the Civil War. Blue or Gray, it doesn't matter anymore. Just remember all our troops away from home now fighting for FREEDOM!! Memorial Day should make us all pause and give thanks. We are a country truly blessed.

Thats right we have CORN! Errrr....
We have Indiana Beach ~ Cheap lil get-a-way.
Michigan City has a small zoo, that is usually less crowded then going to Chicago and less $
Michigan City also has an outlet mall to shop.
The lakeshore is usually fun. Many beaches to choice from.
Other then that I can't think of anything else.....

Same stuff here in PA, but I'm only a few miles from NY. We go to all of the places listed plus west to Cleveland to Brown's games, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and more Lake Erie. We also go east to NY to Busti Raceway, better shopping and up to Erie for more shopping and water fun.
