I hate cleaning those damn mini blindes and I have ALOT of windows in my house.
I'm in the process of selling this house and moving north and my next house will NOT have mini blinds.
Amen--my sentiments exactly. In my living roomm I have lavelor which cost quite a bit but they are even worse to clean. My bright new idea is that when they get really bad, I am going to watch for sales and sometimes you can find them for $3to4 dollars and I am just going to get new ones.

I detest my mini blinds= my dh likes them. I do not know why he likes them except possibly there are cheaper than drapes. They are also plainer than drapes. They are so hum drum . Last week I bought drapes a light plum and it had lighter oak leaf designs all over it. It is much prettier than it sounds. I am going to have the two living room windows replaced with double pane windows and have sheers covering the two windows and the drapes parted and pulled back. Not too overdone and yet will be pretty.

Just for now we put up the drapes and left the blinds behind them. BUT the string broke as we were working there, and one side of the blind fell and we had to tie it up and then we could not get the blinds to turn up. I hate mini blinds.

I use to have mini blinds on the 14 Windows in our back room. I hated when it came time to clean them Tried the bat tub cleaning thing and that was a nightmare on so many levels. I finally had my DH build a frame type thing that i could hang them on that would sit along the chain link fence I would take our power washer to them. Did make it a lot easier and they would get clean. I would leave them hang there for 15 minutes so most of the water would run off and they would dry bring back in hang them and would repeat the process until done.

I was never so glad when we remodeled the back room took all all those window and only put 4 new ones back in. They all have the bamboo shades which I just run the vacuum hose over monthly.

I have them, and I hate them too. But they are cheap and convenient, and keep the neighbors from getting offended
