    Question Shots...

Do any of you take shots at home and if you do, do you give it to yourself or do you have someone else give it to you? I hate needles so hubby gives me mine..but now if I had to give hubby one I am sure I could do it...I just cant stand seeing a needle go into me..

I give my DD a shot once a month and we don't have a problem with it .. I am fortunate that she doesn't freak over needles.

I take 2 shots a day for insulin but there is NO way I could give myself a shot in the knee. They would have to do a lot more than the freeze stuff for me to get a shot in the knee.

Hopefully it will work for you very soon. I know you have been in a lot of pain recently - lovely cold weather (yes it does get cold in FL sometimes).

That is my total phobia... needles !

It might as well be a six foot harpoon coming at me... I even slugged my oral surgeon in the jaw back when I was like 21, lol, he was trying to 'put me out' to pull my wisdom teeth...lol

When I was 4, I was in the hospital for like 3 months... I had a crushed ankle, and that was 1965... they didn't use IV's back then, where everything went into your IV... you were a virtual pin cushion !!! I got shots all day, every day... I remember my whole butt being black and blue, so sore I couldn't even roll onto it. I'm sure that's where my phobia came from... it makes life REALLY rough too ! I sweat for days over getting a blood test.

The ironic part... my hubster is a nurse !

I give myself a B12 injection every three weeks and have been doing it for years. I had a problem with it when I first started doing it because I was afraid I wouldn't hit my muscle right, etc. My doctor showed me how to do it and it's a peice of cake once you get comfortable doing it.

For Hep C treatment they are weekly injections.

About two hours after the injection you feel like crap for a few days so not only are you messing with needles but you know that you are gonna make yourself feel ill after messing with needles.

Always a Wednesday for me and it was the worst day of my life every week for 15 months.
