    Do you have a ritual?

I don't mean an OCD type ritual, tho you are welcome to share that if you want, 'cause I do have a few of those too. But I am referring more to a beauty ritual. When I hit 30 I started to get really freaky about my skin. What it felt like, what it looked like, whether or not my pores were glaringly in your face. So here is my ritual.

Every night I wash my face with a mild bar of facial soap, use toner and then moisturize.

Once a week I exfoliate before performing the things above. I also use an extra emollient lotion on my feet and wear cotton socks after every shower, rub my whole self down with body lotion, and do that Mary Kay manicure thingy with the extra emollient cream, buffing cream, cleansing gel and then the regular hand cream.

I also use the cream on my elbows because since I was 15 I was totally freaked out by the possibility of dry elbows after listening to a man mention some girl's elbows (how weird is that ).

So what is your's? Do you paint your finger and toe nails every Tuesday and Friday night? Do you pluck your uni-brow in the dark with a flashlight and a mirror? I am terrified of my hubby coming into the bathroom while I am doing my thing. He's supposed to think I am naturally this soft with awesome skin

I also do the MaryKay Satin hand ritual. I love it. I also do the Estee Lauder ritual wash with XYZ then use ABC then use QRS then use LMN around eyes then GHI over entire face, repeat in am...lol. I also use "special" socks and gloves (from Bed, Bath & Beyond) at night after putting vaseline on my hands and feet. I don't pluck my eyebrows, makes me tear up...hehe, so thats a wax job. Of course dh knows all this and sees all. I don't care if he sees or not, for he is way more vain than I...LOL. He also has a beauty ritual all of his own.

Does that truly work?? My feet are so dry, I cannot even begin to describe it. Rubbing my heals across the sheets sounds like I am going to shread the sheets!!

Yes it really works. I have tried it using regular socks and though it helped it doesn't do near as well as the ones made for it. Its just the material maybe all cotton or whatever it is that makes a difference. I go barefooted alot and that makes my feet rough. I just use a pumus (sp?) stone in the shower then dry my feet real well then apply vasoline put on the socks (and gloves) and go to bed. I can really tell a difference when I slack off and skip a couple of days.

I'm 44 and don't have a single wrinkle either, but then no one ever believes me when I tell them how old I am, they say I'm early 30's. Mine is just my good German genes, I never use soap on my face just water.

I just moisturize once a day. Thats too much money to spend on all those "lady" products. I'M SO DAMN CHEAP! LMAO! .. but THANKS to good genetics, I have great skin & complexion and thankfully no wrinkles... but I think that has to do more with being 33, and NO KIDS!

dv8, its definitely the "no kids"

I don't have any wrinkles yet, and I'm hoping I take after my gramma and aunts, my gramma didn't really have much in the way of wrinkles until she was in her 70s and both of my aunts are in their 50 and no one would ever guess they are anywhere near. But my mom has had a rough time of it and you can really tell in her face.
