well Garth Brooks "The Dance" and "If Tomorrow never comes"....also Travis Tritt's "Tell me I was dreaming"...Vince Gill's "Go Rest High"...Diamond Rios "One More Day" and "I believe"....oh and Kenny Chesney's "Who you'd be today" All of these songs remind me of my dd Ashley who passed in 96...she was 6 1/2...

Also I'm not sure who sings it, I think Dusty Drake, but its called "One Last Time"...its a country song...I ball my eyes out everytime I heard it...I don't know how many times I walked into the local grocery store crying because I heard it on the car radio...they musta thought I was nuts in there lol

When she picked up the telephone,

His voice came on the line.

She said: "This can't be happening,"

An' tears fell from her eyes.

She said: "What am I supposed to do?

    "I can't handle losin' you."

He said: "I just had to call to say goodbye,

    "One last time."

He said: "There are some things in this life,

"That are out of our control.

"Like who we fall in love with,

And when it's time to go."

An' she said: "What about the plans we had?"

He said: "This connection's gettin' bad."

"Now c'mon baby, let me hear you smile,

    One last time."

    She started to apologise,

For all the things that she'd done wrong.

She said: "I would have loved you better.

    If only I'd known."

He said: "You were the perfect wife:

Promise me you'll go on with your life."

She said: "The boys won't understand."

He said: "Tell 'em Daddy loves 'em and, be strong, whoa."

He said: "Honey, I've gotta go."

She said: "Don't you dare hang up.

There's so many things I need to say.

    I love you so much."

It was almost like she felt him leave.

She cried out: "Can you still hear me?"

She fell down on the kitchen floor,

    When the signal died,

As the pilot tried to pull out of the dive.

    One last..
    Merry Christmas My Ashley Angel

Don't Laugh at Me by Mark Wills ... and I don't just tear up, I have a nice big cry LOL My DD started listening to this song over and over when she started being picked on in 5th grade... it made her feel better... it made me sad

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3_JvChXL7o

'm a little boy with glasses
The one they call the geek
A little girl who never smiles
'Cause I've got braces on my teeth
And I know how it feels
    To cry myself to sleep

I'm that kid on every playground
    Who's always chosen last
    A single teenage mother
    Tryin' to overcome my past
You don't have to be my friend
But is it too much to ask

    Don't laugh at me
    Don't call me names
Don't get your pleasure from my pain
In God's eyes we're all the same
Someday we'll all have perfect wings
    Don't laugh at me

I'm the cripple on the corner
You've passed me on the street
And I wouldn't be out here beggin'
If I had enough to eat
    And don't think I don't notice
    That our eyes never meet

I lost my wife and little boy when
    Someone cross that yellow line
The day we laid them in the ground
Is the day I lost my mind
And right now I'm down to holdin'
    This little cardboard sign...so

    Don't laugh at me
    Don't call me names
Don't get your pleasure from my pain
In God's eyes we're all the same
Someday we'll all have perfect wings
    Don't laugh at me

    I'm fat, I'm thin, I'm short, I'm tall
I'm deaf, I'm blind, hey, aren't we all

    Don't laugh at me
    Don't call me names
Don't get your pleasure from my pain
In God's eyes we're all the same
Someday we'll all have perfect wings
    Don't laugh at me
Don't make me get out my flying monkeys.

Friends are Friends Forever Michael W. Smith thats the song played at his funeral

True Blue by John Williamson played at Steve Irwin's funeral

Hey True Blue, don't say you've gone

Hey True Blue, Hey True Blue

Give it to me straight, face to face
    Are you really disappearing
    Just another dy-ying race
    Hey True Blue

True Blue, is it me and you
Is it Mum and Dad, is it a co-ockatoo
Is it standin' by your mate when he's in a fight
    Or just Vegemi-ite
    True-ue-ue Blue, I'm a-asking you

Hey True Blue, can you bear the load
Will you tie it up with wire
Just to keep the show on the road
    Hey True Blue
Hey True Blue, now be Fair Dinkum

    Is your heart still there
If they sell us out like sponge cake
    Do you rea-eally care
    Hey True Blue

True Blue, is it me and you
Is it Mum and Dad, is it a co-ockatoo
Is it standin' by your mate when she's in a fight
    Or just Vegemi-ite
    True-ue-ue Blue, I'm a-asking you...

True Blue, is it me and you
Is it Mum and Dad, is it a co-ockatoo
Is it standin' by your mate when he's in a fi-ight
    Or just Vegemi-ite
    True-ue-ue Blue, True-ue-ue Blue

I also have one that Dolly Parton did in a Christmas movie that moves me because it reminds me of a friend of mine that passed away. The song was never released but I have a copy of the movie and watch it a few times during the Chrismas season.

This song gets me every time. . .I also love Old Ang Syne? They play it during the holidays. About a guy who meets his old flame in a supermarket.

Story songs, those song with a beginning middle & end are so much more powerful than the catchy hooks most songs are these days.

What about: Look Away by Chicago, I love this song. . .I too have a "My Sad life" Cd where I burned all the songs that get me bawling. . .

Everything I Own...Bread (David Gates) I suppose most young people have never even heard of Bread. And like many other posts, yes, the song is about a loved one that went to live with angels. I read somewhere (in the 70's) that David Gates wrote the song about his father after he died. I hope tears don't ruin my new flat screen monitor...God I miss my father

Mine would be The Baby by Blake Shelton. I got a call from my mother a few years back saying for me to get back to buffalo as fast as I could but when I got there my Father had just passed away. The whole song is similar to my life in so many ways.

    My brother said that I
    was rotten to the core.
    I was the youngest child,
so I got by with more.

I guess she was tired by
    the time I came along.
    She'd laugh until she cried,
    I could do no wrong.
    She would always save me,
    because I was her baby.

I worked a factory in Ohio,
a shrimp boat in the Bayou,
I drove a truck in Birmingham.
    Turned 21 in Cincinnati,
I called home to mom and daddy,
I said "Your boy is now a man."
    She said "I don't care if you're 80,
    you'll always be my baby."

    She loved that photograph,
    of our whole family.
    She'd always point us out,
for all her friends to see.

    That's Greg he's doing great,
    he really loves his job.
And Ronnie with his 2 kids,
how 'bout that wife he's got.
    And that one's kinda crazy,
but that one is my baby.

I got a call in Alabama,
said come on home to Louisiana
and come as fast as you can fly.
Cause your momma really needs you,
and says she's got to see you,
she might not make it through the night.
The whole way I drove 80
so she could see her baby.

She looked like she was sleepin'
and my family had been weepin'
by the time that I got to her side.
And I knew that she'd been taken,
and my heart it was breakin',
I never got to say goodbye.

    I softly kissed that lady
and cried just like a baby
Handle every stressful situation like a dog.

Piss on it and walk away.

Exclamation So many songs bring tears to my eyes

Once I was in a bad place in my life, things had happened, I will spare you the details as its not important but I was in a very low place and just randomly in a chat room a person PMed me this song, and I know it was a God send, however that sounds, but I had never heard it before and it really helped me through that time and it still brings tears to my eyes when I listen to it...

Sand and Water by Beth Nielsen Chapman

I found this song on You Tube

    Christmas Shoes

Here are a few more than haven't been mentioned that bring me to tears...
I'll wait for you by Joe Nichols

What might have been by Little Texas

    Rainbow Connection

In The Arms of The Angel by Sarah McLachlan

This song is defiantly a tear jerker, Its special to me, someone else mentioned it, and heres a video so you can hear it. Friends are Friends forever by Michael W Smith

This song always makes me think, sometimes cry becuase it was me and my first loves song, back in high school!! Lol Cherish by Kool and the gang

There are so many songs that fall into this category, I could go on for days...But I wont! Lol

And I felt like sharing this song, after all the memories and tears I believe there is a reason for all things... (I know how harsh that can sound when you have experienced great loses but I believe it. JMHO)

    Bring the rain

    Bring The Rain Lyrics
    Artist : MercyMe

I can count a million times
    People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that
    I've gone through
    The question just amazes me
    Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You

Maybe since my life was changed
    Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
    So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
    Bring me anything that brings
You glory And I know there'll
be days When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to
praise You Jesus, bring the rain

I am yours regardless of the clouds that may
loom above because you are much greater than
my pain you who made a way for me suffering
your destiny so tell me whats a little rain

    [1st Chorus]

    Holy, holy, holy
    Holy, holy, holy
    is the lord God almighty
    is the lord God almighty
    I'm forever singing

    [2nd Chorus 2x]

    everybody singing
    Holy holy holy
    you are holy
    you are holy

    [2nd Chorus 2x]

I really love music for so many reasons, but this is one of them, the feelings and the memories. That being said forgive me for this song, but it made me cry when I was little... and you have to see the people in the video!!

    Do they know its Christmas?

Letters from Home John Michael Montgomery

My Dear Son, it is almost June,
I hope this letter catches up to you, and finds you well.
Its been dry but they’re calling for rain,
And everything's the same ol’ same in Johnsonville.
Your stubborn 'ol Daddy ain’t said too much,
But I’m sure you know he sends his love,
    And she goes on,
    In a letter from home.

I hold it up and show my buddies,
Like we ain’t scared and our boots ain’t muddy, and they all laugh,
Like there’s something funny bout’ the way I talk,
When I say: "Mama sends her best y’all."
I fold it up an' put it in my shirt,
Pick up my gun an' get back to work.
An' it keeps me driving me on,
    Waiting on letters from home.

My Dearest Love, its almost dawn.
I’ve been lying here all night long wondering where you might be.
I saw your Mama and I showed her the ring.
Man on the television said something so I couldn’t sleep.
But I’ll be all right, I’m just missing you.
An' this is me kissing you:
    XX’s and OO’s,
    In a letter from home.

I hold it up and show my buddies,
Like we ain’t scared and our boots ain’t muddy, and they all laugh,
'Cause she calls me "Honey", but they take it hard,
'Cause I don’t read the good parts.
I fold it up an' put it in my shirt,
Pick up my gun an' get back to work.
An' it keeps me driving me on,
    Waiting on letters from home.

    Dear Son, I know I ain’t written,
But sittin' here tonight, alone in the kitchen, it occurs to me,
I might not have said, so I’ll say it now:
    Son, you make me proud.

I hold it up and show my buddies,
Like we ain’t scared and our boots ain’t muddy, but no one laughs,
'Cause there ain’t nothing funny when a soldier cries.
An' I just wipe me eyes.
I fold it up an' put it in my shirt,
Pick up my gun an' get back to work.
An' it keeps me driving me on,
    Waiting on letters from home.
Anytime I hear this song,it breaks me down. One time at work it played on the radio and I stopped talking midsentence, excused myself and went outside. When I came back,a very nice guy I work with came up to me and said,"Thanks for all the sacrifices you make along with your husband so others might not have to." I wanted to cry all over again!
Another song, well it really isnt a song, that makes me bawl is TAPS.
A dog is not almost human , I know of no greater insult to a canine than to describe it as such.
