    Lightbulb Press 9 for Spanish

    Just thought I would share a tip that I have learned from calling customer service.

    I can't stand calling up customer service & getting a out-sourced over-seas "customer service" rep, they can never understand what I am talking about, all they do is type in what your saying & they repeat what the computer tells them. That is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE TO ME!

    So now, I immediately hit the SPANISH option and say "Se Habla English" and 99% of the time the person will say "YES" ~ And there you go, you'll almost NEVER have to try to talk to out-sourced over-seas "customer service" reps again.
    Rudeness is the weak person's imitation of strength.

    very interesting, I'll have to remember that. I understand they are trying to save cost, but if the CS ppl can't understand me and I can't understand them are they REALLY saving time and cost?

    I do that too. Even if they only sepak spanish, I can understand them better then heavily accented english.

    I hate talking to anyone over seas! And I avoid companies now that do that.

    Have you ever noticed what a arrogant attitude they have as well? They aren't willing to listen to you, they are going by the book and they are just so hard headed. They act like you are trying to pull something on them if they don't understand you...which is most of the time.

    They talk funny! They talk to fast! I'm from the south and have a hard enough time just understanding people from the north, much less over seas people. Sometimes I even have to tell the American's from the north to slow down when they talk. It starts sounding garbled when they talk to fast.



    Just for the record, Alltel cell still uses American phone reps!!!!!!

    Hughes.net satellite service makes you talk to overseas tecs. I would do anything if I could find another company to get my internet service through.

    I HATE THE FACT that I'm paying the highest rates for Internet service, but have the lousy overseas customer service reps. I pay $75.00 a month to be online, through hughes. And they are so greedy that they have fired American's so they can hire foreigners to do the same job. It's nothing more than greed!

    LOL! I'm from the south too. And I had a hard time when I moved out here, with so many who have spanish accents. I can understand them better if they just speak spanish than if they have a very heavy accent.

    I was talking to a Spanish lady today. And I can understand their accent. I guess because there are so many here in Arkansas now. But they tend to speak English way to fast, and I have to slow them down too. LOL I think it's because they still roll allot of their words off their tongue as they do in Spanish. It starts sounding like it's all one long rolling word they are trying to say if I don't slow them down.

    I hear ya girl but being in the midlde of nowhere we have no choice unless we want dial up........we are only 300 ft too far out to get dsl We had to pay off our equip so we have to pay an extra $50 a month for 15 months I think it is.........so in a couple months it will drop down.....what really gets me is the limit thing........I mean I have a 12 yr old that wants to down load all kinds of videos.........I was actually frozen in time on BF because of him lol
