Do you give Rep, even whn you don't agree?
I was jus tlooking at a thread and repping those who made comment when I came across a comment I didn't agree with. I hesitated, thinking di I give rep when I don't like that persons views?
I respect that person's right to say what they like even if I don't agree. . .but it stumped me briefly.
any thoughts?

I'm trying to steal the Rep Ho title from Hippie,
(j/k!) but I rep as many people as I can even if we have different views. That's the great thing that we all can express our own opinions even if we don't agree. Now I believe I've made a few people mad and even though I've repped them a few times, they haven't repped me back. So.. either they don't check or they don't like me/my views. Oh well, life goes on.

I only give positive rep, if I agree. It's my way of saying "RIGHT ON". If I don't agree, I don't leave negative rep, but I do skip over it.

it is not like the person will know that you repped every one but them in that thread. If you don't agree w/ what they said rep them some where else. It's up to you.

If I start a thread I rep everyone that post in the thread that I started wheather i agree or not. I appreciate them taking the time to reply to my post. Sometimes i am not allowed to rep them becasue I have to rep others before I can rep John Doe again. Sometimes I rep because I like the way they express themselves, calmly to get their opinion said. I like reading others opinions, I enjoy reading how others think and why they think the way they do.
So I do rep people that I do not agree with.

I rep those I agree witih when it will let me. I also rep those I may not agree with, but they state their case intelligently. I do not rep those who just go off and basically write "hate" replies or very "judgemental", at least in my opinion, replies. Rather than bring myself down to their level by sending them judgemental rep, I choose to just ignore them.

I don't say anything unkind to those that I rep even if I disagree with them , I just thank them for their thoughts.
