Part of one is true...the part about not allowing the Salvation Army to solicit at their stores. They have always had a "no-solicitation' policy but in the past they allowed the salvation Army to be exempt. After getting complaints that it wasn't fair, (which it wasn't) they now expect Salvation Army to follow the "No-solicitation' rule as well.
too be honest I get sick of the bell ringers..... I am running around to tons of stores and my walmart has one at each door and they sort of wonder why ya dont give well if I give to all the ones I see that day I might be out some big bucks if I had them lol

I know this is totally different, but it made me think of today when I came out of Krogers. There was this little girl who looked all alone. She was holding 2 candy bars (school fund raiser kind) and she was asking people if they wanted to buy a candy bar for $1.00. I had just got through spending $40.00 bucks for Halloween candy and was in no mood to speed another $1 on a single piece of candy. What type of parent would let their child hang out alone like that in front of a busy store begging people to buy a candy bar? She couldn't have been older than 8, and she was tiny fragile looking thing.
I just hope this isn't the start of some knew form of saleing items. Could you just imagine everytime you walk out of a business you see a wee one begging you to buy candy from them...or maybe 2 or 3 begging....

It wouldn't surprise me as there seem to be many parents that just dont have good judgement when it comes to their children

I wish I had the intelligence to argue the whole Walmart is evil thing, becuase I truly believe it is! I worked @ 3 different stores in two states and it was by far the worst employer I have ever had, and let me tell you I have worked a few different places...
And it sickens me to read about just how big it truly is!
There are other choices around here and I do my best to avoid Wal Mart

Walmart has it's good and bad points... some good: low prices, good (and easy) return policy, hiring people who might not otherwise have a job, huge variety... some bad: too big to keep watch on the management, too many 'little people' who think they are 'big people'... too many cooks in the kitchen, they do run the Ma and Pa stores out of business, they do find reasons to fire you once you get to a decent wage (things they let slide in teh past they now use to get rid of you), and then they agree to hire you back after 30 days, at the 'entrance wage' (this happened to my nephews wife).

I have family members who work at Wally World.
They get benefits and bonus.
How ever it is true that Wally World is putting other companies out of business.
Winn Dixie
K mart
Kash & Karry
Just to name a few.
I have also noticed that the lines are alot smaller then they use to be compared to a few years ago.
And yes alot of the employees have become very rude.

wal mart
It is true that Mom and Pop shops cannot compete with Wal Marts prices but their service is way beyond what you get from Wal mart as is, depending on the business, the mom and pops have unique products.
I have no sympathy for KMart. They went into bankruptcy. Many people bought stock when it was very low .25 cents or less a share, because we had faith that they would make a comeback. KMart was the original dime store better known as SS Kreske (sp). Then they did come out of bankruptcy. Had a judge void all the shares of stock except for the big wigs, and in less than a year they bought Sears. I am sure they were able to do this because they ripped off their shareholders by voiding their stock. The same people that helped them out of their situation. I only shop KMart when they have a sale on items I need and the price cannot be beat, like Pepsi for $4.99 a case or less. I did buy 14 bags of candy but was only charged 6 cents for about 6 of them. Do I feel bad. HELL NO. I normally would not have printed more than 1 coupon, but since it was KMart I could care less.
If KMart and other coompanies were concerned they would lower their prices. KMarts regular price for a case of Pepsi is $8.99. I can get it at the corner gas station for $6.99 regular price. Milk is the same thing. $3.99 KMart, $2.69 at the gas station. KMart moves more than the corner gas station for sure.
