    Here's one for you..Meatloaf..

How do you make your meatloaf?
I am a huge seller at the College of Boy's mostly.
I think I like meatloaf, but I finally made it for the BF, and he loved it, but it was nothing like his Mama's..her's was ground beef, egg's breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and if they had enough to spare Ketchup on top..
Mine is not really like that..
    What's your's..
    Just yours?

At last....my love has come around..

We like the very simple ones the best. My hubby doesn't like me to put crackers or bread crumbs in them, because that makes them hold grease.
    Mine is normally just:
    ground beef
    salt & pepper
maybe some other spices like steak seasoning or maybe A1 sauce. I've even added barbecue sauce for something different. Just depends on what I have handy.
I always add eggs, and chopped onions to the mix.
    And ketchup on top.

My mom makes hers a little fancier.
She puts mashed potatoes on top of the meatloaf She makes the potatoes have real pretty little peeks all over the top. . It's called snow on the mountain or something like that.

I use lean ground beef, diced onion, diced pepper, Heinz chili sauce, eggs, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. I mix part of the chili sauce in the meatloaf and pour the rest over the top. My family loves it this way.

mine is plain as well, I make the one off of the Lipton's onion soup mix box so it's lean ground beef, eggs, crackers (I found ritz to be the most moist), ketchup, the onion soup mix, maybe some water?? and that's pretty much it. My mom used to make it and put bacon on top of it I didn't eat it when she did. Cat, how do you make yours?

I make mine different every time I make it, and it always turns out so moist and good. One time when I was still married to ex #1, his brother and wife visited and I made a meatloaf for dinner, she was like he won't eat he hates meatloaf, well he ended up eating like 6 slices of mine, she was kinda pissed at me, cause apparently hers was awful tatsing and mine was so darn good..lol

ah..I can't really tell you how I usually make 60-80 pounds a time at work, that became confusing using a loaf pan..for 2 and leftovers..
    Hmm..
I use onions and saute' them in butter, and and chopped garlic and the last few minutes..the thought here is to cook the onions and they may not cook in the final loaf..
Ground beef, sometimes if I have ground pork, it goes in..eggs, bread crumbs, a little milk, A-1...Lea And Perrin's, salt, pepper, granulated garlic, parsley..and I taste and taste, and taste..until..well I think I have this right.. when I do figure it is good, I bake it..I pull it out, drain the grease..and throw ketchup on to and let it rest.. it does make a " scent" of good nature to the school, always a sellout..and I serve mashed sour cream-chive potatoes and seasoned corn..sometimes I throw in baked rolls, I make, from scratch..about 120 of them..

At last....my love has come around..

I put the hamburger meat in a bowl and then put in some chopped onions, bread crumbs usually but the last couple of times I used corn bread stuffing mix in place of the bread crumbs, an egg, a small amount of Kevin's favorite barbecue sauce which is Sweet Baby Rays, a little garlic powder, and some Mrs. Dash. When it has about 10 minutes left to cook I take it out and spread ketchup over the top of it.

Mine is a little different in that I use the meatloaf mix (beef, pork and veal) Also use croutons insted of bread crumbs and we prefer brown gravy on top.

I have a good, unusual one. Mix the meat, eggs, bread crumbs, etc. in the usual way. Then roll it out on wax paper in a rectangle. Spread with spaghetti saud and mushrooms if desired. Add mozzarella cheese. Roll up. Seal the ends and top with remaining sauce. It's wonderful. And it's really pretty when you cut it, since it's rolled
