Thread: Teacher attempts to staple paper to childs forehead!

Exactly how is a Teacher's aide picked? Do they not screen these people? I sure wouldn't want physco joe being in charge of my child. Anyone that would do something that damn stupid would probably do other stupid things as well to a child.

Voice of calmness- I read this and got all upset over it. Then I thought it does not make sense. No one would do such a thing unless they were loony. I think he was teasing just like we all do with our children, We don't litterally mean we are going ot hang them by their thumbs or what ever it is we say, but we tease and play and make them laugh.

There was a roomfull of kids and a teacher somewhere that he had to answer to. I think maybe the mom over reacted, I hope she over reacted. And I hope she did it out of love for her child and not out of "how much can I get for this" And if she did I hope his future is not ruined.

If it is true, 100% true, he needs to be punished severely.

I think there is more to the story, I can't see a grown person doing this in a class full of people. A fourth grader is old enough to talk not like a 4-k child. The adult in question would be seen by these fourth graders and they would talk.

There are a lot of bad adults that do hurt children, but very seldom do they do it where they can be seen.

I speak from personal experience, I was abused and it never happened where anyone would see it.

Don't be so sure of that. I got a email (newsletter) thingy from a local guy last week. He has always been a little slow/different than most of us. He seems like a good person. He never misses church, but I also know when he was in his 20's he stood in the graveyard by his house, wearing nothing but a raincoat and flashing people that drove by on the Hwy. When the cops came, he told them that the devil made him do it. Anyway in his newsletter that he sends out sometimes he was talking about the school reunion coming up, and he said that he is a sub there now at the school??? How on earth did he get a sub job???? How do they pick these people?

Do not put all aides in with this nut. We werent there but like someone said it could have been blown all out of purportion-sp that doesnt look right--Some parents are very good at that. Believe me I know I have had a mother scream at me using "F"n Bit** and many other words because I sent her child to the office for misbehavior. I wont touch a child not even a pat on the back because of how someone can say that it was a hit instead of a pat. Just never know. Oh that mother Italked about above her child is now an adult and in jail. Shocker!!!
