Yesterday I canceled my WoW subscription until further notice. I'm going to try playing DDO. My friend plays it has some minor benefits to WoW. I was having this problem where I would have to wait for 45 to an hour to get a group together to do an hour long dungeon. I just don't have that kind of time to put into it. PvEing is fine but it's just not worth it without doing dungeons. In DDO you are given the option of soloing dungeons so you don't have to wait for groups.
I didn't delete my characters with the hope that some day I'd go back and play some more. Maybe when the kids get bigger in 15 years or so.
I left off with a lvl 41 druid, 26 hunter, 26 priest, 21 warlock, and 20 mage.

DDO is Dungeons and Dragons online. They have only five realms (they started with 14 but there weren't enough subscribers.) and is runs along the same lines as WoW but with out crafting and auto attack.
I liked dungeons and I like WoW. But finding time to do a dungeon was hard. So when I wasn't camping out to do a dungeon I would quest. Which would raise my exp level and turn the yellow dungeon quest green. So I'd get antsy and want to complete they pronto.
The last time I was on it wa sSUnday I though I had enough time to kill to do RFD. So I LFG'd and made my way down to southern Barrens. I found one other person (a hunter) and a lot of other players down in the area making their way in. I lfg'd through chat channels and counldn't find anyone. Then I received a whisper saying I oculf tank for them and be gtg. I declined wanting to stay true to the party I was in already (BIG MISTAKE). I waited aorund for 45 minutes looking L4M. I finally got a group together and I had to get off. If WoW would make their instances solo or three man parties then it wouldn't be so bad.
But I got thinking (actually it was weighing on my mind a lot) how was I going to be able to do raids. Those can take 4 or 5 hours just to do let alone organize. So my friend (who plays DDO and WoW (or used to paly WoW)) siad I should get into DDO. He said the graphics are better and it's more mature. (no high schoolers squabbling in chat.)
Someday I'd like to go back. Maybe if the kids grow up to want to play then I'd have more time to do these things I like.
PS. I hate run throughs if you were going to ask why I didn't get a guildy to do one for me. I like grouping and battle in groups. Run throughs always feel more like cheating. Plus 90% of all my guild members are 70. But I love the new guild vault. Got a lot of good stuff there.
