Baby Shower prizes

I'm having my daughter's baby shower at the end of this month. I havent been to a baby shower in YEARS! Any ideas for game prizes?

Diaper wipes, receiving blankets, onesies, towels, diaper bag, baby shampoo

booties, soft baby toys, baby picture frames

make all prizes linked to the type of shower.

Are these prizes for the winners to keep themselves and take home or are they things they are going to end up giving to the mother to be?

For the guests to take home with them. I've decided on miniature reese cups wrapped in tule, and tied with blue ribbon for little party favors (since he will be named Reece...our little 'Reece Cup'....lol), but I wanted something neat for game prizes for the guests.

I always thought it was neat when they used game prizes that were given to the mother to be. Small items like a bottle brush, pacifier, diaper wipes, bibs, teething rings, etc.

Oh okay. I was asking because if it's things for the winners to keep for themselves I wouldn't go with baby orientated things. These are things I'm just thinking of off the top of my head but what about a small votive cup with a scented candle, or a coffee mug with a box of herbal tea, a set of dish towels?

When we had my sisters shower we had body wash, candles, nice chocolates, stuff like that. It was all ladies though so it was easy, if men are going I am not sure what I would give.

Also if your state has lotto tickets you could use those as well. My family has a few gamblers, so those are always a hit.

My best friend just had her shower a few months ago and they had things like hand soap, lotions, candles, and what everyone thought was hilarious was we all(well if you wanted to) put some change or $1 bills into a baby bottle and then we all had to guess how much was in the bottle and the one who was closest took all. Well we all thought they meant winner got all the money well the mommy to be put all the change in a piggy bank for the baby and the winner reallly did take ALL....as in the laundry detergent LOL

that's cute I really like that idea, I bet they were shocked when they got detergent

and who doesn't like chocolates?

I would definately go with the idea that all prizes should go with the mom. I gave a shower one time, & ppl actually kept stuff, that was a bummer. I mean, my gosh, its pretty obvious that you should GIVE the pack of baby wipes to the mom, lol. Also, if you have a thrift store nearby, lots of times they have new unopened things for a song, like little shoes, onesies, etc. And moms always need plenty of those.
