Thread: Scary!

We just had 3 military helicopters fly over the house, about 2-3 minutes apart. They were so low they shook the house, pictures were falling! We live in a rural area, so this is wierd-no military bases near at all! I ran outside after the second one, our 2 neighbors were also woke up by it (11 pm when the first went by) I was standing in the yard, and the third we could hear coming, but could not see - it came up the river, the right over the trees by my house, SO low! NO lights on except one small light at the front. I thought it was going to land in my yard-trees were whipping, dogs going nuts, it was crazy! Needless to say, everyone is awake and trying to figure out what is going on, and if they are coming back by. Scary and starnge-we don't get any kind of military manuvers here - knoxville airport is the closest - 45 miles.

maybe they were looking for someone? or doing drug sweeps?(looking for marijuana plants) they do that here in my area and we have no bases here just a small national guard one only its never used its just to store stuff

I thought that, but the had no lights-no seachlights, no running lights even, just the one small light at the front. I keep seeing flashes of the movie "Red Dawn" in my mind.

Maybe they were using those heat seeking machines to try and find someone in a pot field?

Nowhere near my house but I do know they have been flying around a lot south of us and have found a ton of grow operations this summer. All this rain, the plants are growing like weeds... no pun intended!

could you tell what direction they were headed in?
i know the military has been doing "off the beaten path" flights around here lately, chattanooga, in fact tuesday night? i think it was there was a chopper crash between here and huntsville, it was on a training mission from fort campbell to chattanooga airport, 3 dead

That was happening here last night also but they usally do it during the day as we live real close to Eglin Air force base...but last night they where coming one right after another..they also bomb at eglin also..I cant count the time it has cause my parents well to cave in....One time when I was young we was out riding around in the land where they bomb and guess what they was bombing and someone forgot to lock the gate...my dad turned around fast and we got out of there..that was in Ga. when I was very young..never will forget that...one time years and years ago..they did bomb a house and killed a family..that was way back..I have heard stories of it...that was here..
