I haven't made real whipped cream in a very long time. I use fake whipped cream now - Coolwhip. I keep it in the freezer and only get it out when I have dessert for the family or else I'd eat the whole tub.

I only do it for Thanksgiving for the pumpkin pies.
Don't overwhip it or it will turn into butter.
Any other time of the year it is Cool Whip or that quirt-can Whipped Cream. Mmmmmm!

I use heavy whipping cream in a lot of recipes and I always measure it before it's whipped.

Why don't you do a search on the internet for that same recipe and see if you can find better instructions for it.
