My 7 Year Old ...
Today hubby was teaching her how to ride a bike. We live close to a park so he was having her ride through the grass so she wouldn't get hurt too bad if she fell. I walked over a few minutes after they got there and was amazed cause she was riding the bike! She'd put her foot down when she felt like she was losing it and he'd start her over again. Well the last time she did it, she rode over a dirt pile and bit it! .. She fell and busted her lip open .. poor thing! She is ok .. I brought her home, cleaned her up and gave her an ice pack. She said she's not riding a bike again .. lol .. but I told her she should try again, trying to encourange her to get back on that horse
Tomorrow is the "Mother's Day Tea," at her school and her and I will have our picture taken .. she is going to have a busted lip in the pic and I'll have the memory of her first bike ride forever on film.

Once I knew she was OK and didn't require stitches I had her check her teeth .. lol.

Re: My 7 Year Old ...
A tip for you: take her where there is a small hill (in the grass) and let her ride down it. The momentum makes it easier to balance so someone doesn't have to run behind and hold the bike.
Good luck!

I'm glad she is ok - I remember teaching my dd to ride her bike and she kept falling and saying the same thing - that she was never gonna ride again - she is now 14 - and is always on her bike....lol

IMO those are the best type of pictures, because there is a story behind it. Funny thing, I also have a 7 year old daughter and tomorrow we're having a mother's day tea at her school. Have fun!!!

Thanks .. you have fun at your tea too
I actually think it's going to be cute her picture because I will have that memory and the story behind it.
