The bank made the typo...I'm human, thought to question what happened. I'm sorry to have shared at this point.

Re: Store gave me too much money back. Now what?
Be very careful.
I had the same thing happen to me in the amount of 600.00 and my husband went shopping because he thought we had the money and in I think it took 4 days there was a minus 600.00 on our bank card where the place had figured it out and got their money!! So we were screwed because my husband had spent it so we were in the hole -600.00 ! It took us about a month to get out of the whole.

there was never any question, they would have found the error in time anyway.

I am now $1980.00 richer and can afford the pool installation...do I go to another location and buy the same pool or will they make a connection soon about the money? Then what?
Ok, everything got taken care of...the BANK was the one making the typo! LOL I'm back to being broke.
I understand what you are saying & I really don't think you would have kept the money -that happened to ne one day at sav-a-center-made over a hundred dolars doing groceries -the cashier was as rude as could be.she complained about the amount of coupons & so on . she told me my total, I wrote the check out, gave her my card & license, some of those smart source coupons came up -she took them and said I guess you will want these too & proceded when she got those gave me my receipt, check, & coupons (besides the smart source )wraped it up and gave it to me-being wrapped in the long receipt I just stuck it in my purse & left-saw it when I got home-when i saw what I had -I sat there for a long time thinking about it especially with her the attitude she had---I went back to the store the next morning with all that she had given me-and gave it to the manager told him how she treated me with my coupons-she called me when she came on duty & thanked me & sorry she was rude -it had been a long day,etc.... AND before anything else is said I could not have kept it with a clear concious (sp?)under any circumstances some say I'm too honest for my own good
i am nothing special;of this i am sure. i am a common man with common thoughts; and i have led a common life. there are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but i've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has slways been enough--nicholas sparks

what if someone had been given too much of YOUR MONEY, say from paypal or your bank acct?? Would you want them to keep it if "might not get caught"? I seriously doubt it. Glad it was straitened out and remember Karma will come back to bite ya in the as..s!

To quote Numbers 32:23..."and be sure your sin will find you out."
That's God talking...not me!

I believe an above ground pool is only about four feet high, surely you wouldn't drown.

Either you're being facetious, or that's one of the most ignorant comments I've read in a while. Of COURSE you can drown in a 4ft pool!
