After you activate it, the minutes usually show up in 48 hours at the latest.

i did this and was told I didnt qualify. had never had one of their phones either

sigh! that was a month ago . it was for a teenager so i just went and got her more minutes

You might have better luck emailing them. They outsource to India, and are very hard to converse with.
