    Red face Re: Weight Loss

I think a big part of me not liking veggies or any kind of fish or seafood is because when I was young I couldnt get up unless I ate everything, even if I gagged on eating onions or cabbage or anything like that I still had to eat .It was my step dad that was strict not my mom. Any ways I just never ate any thing that was good for me , because I hated it as a kid...

I also had a mean step father when I was growing up. It wasn't just about him making us eat. He was a drunk and just plain mean. Force feeding only causes eating problems later on in life. I never make my kids eat anything they don't want to.

    Re: Weight Loss

Another thing is to not eat anything after 7 PM.

I try to eat a good breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and healthy snacks in between. I'm trying to cut calories, sodas, etc, but the hardest thing for me is not eating supper @ 8 PM! When DH & I get home we chit chat, watch TV, then by the time we decide we are hungry it's going on 7 PM so I am trying to get things started by 6 PM and we are done by 7PM. If I get hungry after that, I eat some type of fruit or drink a glass of water to make myself full.

I just started this and have dropped 3 pounds in a week, so I know I am doing something right!

I don't weigh that much to begin with but I'm only 4'8" so anything over 100 (I'm at 101 right now) pounds kills me and I can tell I just don't have the energy like I do at 92-94 pounds!

    Re: Weight Loss

you need to burn more calories than you eat. I have a gazelle and LOVE it! I have lost a lot using mine over the last year. The thing I like most about it is that its so easy... I don't feel like I am exercising and I can go for long periods of time on it without feeling worn out or stressed. You can do heavy gliding on it, but I am so out of shape (and lazy lol) that just simply getting on and doing the basic motion has done me wonders... the one thing I did find out is that it doesn't work if you don't get on it LOL I have mine set up in the family room by the TV so that I can watch tv and do it... there are times that I can go for 2 hours and not realize it (especially if there is a good show on LOL) I can also see my computer from my gazelle and I have (in the past lol) had my kids on Ebay shopping for things I want LOL
Don't make me get out my flying monkeys.
