whooohoooo!! my son won at special olympics !!!
this weekend here in N.C. was special olympics equestrian horseback championship!!july 15 thru 17th.
my son's group is from wake county G.R.A.C.E.(greater raleigh autisic child enrichment) our group of 6 kids came in on top! every child won at least one blue ribbion and gold medal each!!
and my son, john calivin(12) won 2 blue ribbons and 2 gold medals!!!!
western trails and western style!! the judge told him him he had complete control of his horse, Max, and he did it all with out any help from coaches!! no lead rope just him!! we are sooo proud!!(can you tell?lol)
he is on cloud nine and so are we!!!The Will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not Protect

Congratulations, you should be very proud. Riding while it looks easy is not, especially in competition. It sounds like your kids in the group had some really great coaching and training.
Ignorance is bliss but the question is can we afford it?

It is such a joy for us parents when our kids win. I know you are "proud as pete"!!! Maybe you could post a pic or two...I love pics.
