prolly thought u were getting the mower n slithered away quicky...lol...he didnt want to become chopped snake

LOL..............some snakes I will pickup, but the big poisonous ones.......NO WAY! The greenones and any that are defanged, ok...........SPIDERS I HATE! (And those big roaches........ewwwwwwwwww) IM in the south too.......

YUK...........the only good snake is a dead snake!
dh works in the log woods so he sees several different snakes............which he kills them...sorry but better the snake to be dead then my dh or kids.
he will not kill them if they are not the poisionness one.........but sorry the others will die if he can get them LOL .......he has even been driving down the road and turned around or stopped to kill them LOL
like i said the only good snake is a dead snake. LOL

he shot it because we hate snakes. doesn't matter what kind they are........snakes are snakes........dead is better!!!! It was only a black snake, but still............and yes I wonder where the mother is........about 2 weeks ago our neighbor killed a copperhead......he was reaching down to move some limbs that had fallen and the snake almost bit him on the hand......

I can understand killing the poisionous ones, I just wouldn't. When I first moved to Georgia, from Ohio, I lived in Augusta (Evans) I was at a friends house and all the kids were in the back yard. My son came and told me their was a snake in the yard and "Can we keep it Mommy?" I went out side to get it, My friend, Leslie, said OH MY GOSH its a water moccassion and it will kill you, needless to say I didn't pick that one up either. She said it had to be killed, she was going to call 911..lol...thinking this is ridiculous, I took a hoe and killed it. I then spent the next hour crying over it...lol. I would never kill another one, but if a moccassin was in our yard, I would definatly have dh kill it, I just can't ever do it again. LOL.

I hate snakes too but I wouldn't kill it unless it was poisonous. The snakes are more afraid of people than people are of them and usually crawl away before anyone gets too close to it.

Just an FYI, I would be careful what snakes you kill. In some states, certain snakes are ILLEGAL to kill. You might want to check your state laws, and find out which ones might get you in some trouble if you off them. HTH
