Thread: Crazy Driver

This morning I was on my way to work and I was driving down a back road near my house. Well this road ends up on a well travelled road after you go around a nasty corner. So I'm driving along, doing 40 in a 35 when out of nowhere this person pulls up my butt couldn't even see them. Now this is a VERY small road, no passing zones, and they decide that they are going to attempt to pass me right around the corner. They get in the other lane and punch it and lo & behold theres a car coming the other way! I was so scared, I slammed on my brakes, they jerked the wheel over and almost hit me, they get in front of me and almost come to a complete stop. Then they punch it again and pull out onto the other road doing about 70.

I continue on my way, fumble for my cell phone and dial the *77 for the state police. I'm talking to the dispatcher when I see the person again, stuck behind a group of people doing 10 under the speed limit lol. So I pull up close and snag their tag number and tell the dispatcher. We turn onto a much larger 2 lane road and the person starts flying again. Well all of a sudden I see blues and they pulled the jerk over. I drove by waving & smiling lol. The dispatcher called me back and said that they nailed them on a ton of stuff including driving to endanger and speeding. I guess the cop wrote them up for everything wrong with their car. It seems they were "late to work". Well they REALLY made themselves late, if they hadn't done the ridiculous thing they did they would have made it on time. Oh well, just wanted to share the story as I found it hilarious. Well it was frightening at the time but I'm glad they got their just due.

glad that no one was hurt and you did the right thing. Good thing those coppers caught them too, maybe next time they will think twice before doing that crazy driving again. stupid drivers i tell you.

How could the cops nab them if they didn't see them do it? This happened to us once. Some lady cut us off then she kept speeding up then slamming on the brakes. We nearly hit her a couple times. I called 911 and they said they couldn't do anything unless they actually saw her do it.

I don't know if its state by state, but in my area you can definitely get a ticket if someone calls you in for driving recklessly. I have friends who have had police officers knocking on their door because they got a call about them speeding or driving recklessly and they got tickets also. They have my name, address and phone number so if the person does try to fight it I can go testify which I will do with pleasure trust me. I know the cop nabbed them for speeding when he pulled them over because they were doing like 70 in a 35, its a road that everyone does about 50 on but still. If they wanted to pass me thats fine whatever but to endanger me and other people on the road to get ONE car ahead, it just boggles my mind lol.
